My daughter gave me a letter I'd written to her, my son and boyfriend over 4 years ago while going through my divorce. At the time, I had to give her and my son back to their dad and go to jail for custodial interference. I wasn't allowed to see them or talk to them for 9 weeks, not because I was still in jail, but because that is how my ex was at that time (he's bipolar and not on medication). ANYWAY, The point I'm trying to make is I can't believe she had that note after all this time as I have no doubt he went through everything they had. Have others here had things you'd never expect to see again or had forgotten come back to you? Do any of you take it to hold any special meaning? Love and Light, Kismet

Well he's not really a thing.... but about 4 yrs ago the love of my life lost himself, blinded by drugs. He had mentioned bringing some to my house and I did not want it. Told him no. Shortly after I found myself totally confused to why he was no longer with us. It never crossed my mind that it was the drugs (crystal) and he was falling deeper into their lull... (he never did this in front of me and kept it pretty well hid from me) It took him a long time to realize what he had thrown over his shoulder... He was caught and is now in prison for the part he played in the manufacturing of them. Before he was inprisoned he worked up the nerve to let me know that he did care and that he was sorry and that he loved us and wanted to be with us. I love him dearly, and it is hard to be out here and waiting. And we only have 19 months left before he is free to walk among us, and I look forward to that time, not only for myself but for our children and him as well. But he is in a county work center and gets to go out and work for whoever may need a laborer... and as long as he watches his P's & Q's and is a good fella, he gets to come home for 3 days every 4 months... so that kind of helps... Yes I do believe that there are reasons things and people come back to us and it is very special! I would suspect that the note you wrote was something that meant very much to you to begin with.... ***hugs***

I have a voudin talisman created by a former love. I was there when she created it about eight years ago and gave it to a mutual friend for protection. Through a strange chain of events, long after the former love has literally vanished off the face of the earth (changed her name and SS# I believe to keep from being found), this medallion was given away by its owner to a friend who gave it to me out of the blue one day three years ago. Its a connection I prize very much, that I never expected to have.

Yes my grandparents, who raised me, are packrats and keep a lot of junk. They've been cleaning out stuff and once in awhile ill get bags filled with papers from my school years, grade school years even. While going through them imagine my surprise when i found the letter my grandmother wrote for me to give me before she died, she died when i was in third grade. Also in the same bag was a postcard my dad sent me, he was killed by a train the summer between 11 and 12 grade. These are very important to me, and are some of the very few things i have of these 2 important people in my life. :THP
