Teshuvah. The word teshuvah means "return." It is often mistranslated as "repentance." When we are asked by God to do teshuvah, we are asked by God to return.
Everyone makes blunders. The Torah is filled with people -- great people -- who made mistakes.
Moses himself made mistakes. He was not allowed to enter the Land of Israel because of them.
Mistakes will happen; fixing them so that they will not be continual is the challenge of teshuvah.
I will do better.

umbrae,
i appreciate the apology. but i recognize that you are only human and so are we. these are trying times and we all make mistakes. i wish you only the best.as far as i'm concerned, it's all just a learning experience. in the big scheme of things, 10 years from now i doubt we'll even remember the incident. life is only a temporary condition.
may Spirit bless you with hope and healing.

Umbrae, I do not know why you feel you must apologize. I was not involved in whatever it was that happened.
In you I see a strong, wise spirit to stand forward the way you did and tell others that you have made a mistake and will do better in the future.
Your post has also touched me in a very important way. It was a message I needed to hear today and apply to my own life.
So I thank you. Very, very much.
