I've worked with this concept on and off for years now. I'm not always successful ......... :( I do know that my ego is huge and often gets in the way. I'm also incredibly sensitive - Cancer sun and moon and Scorpio rising) ..... I'm sure that affects things. Does the ego have to be sufficiently subdued before one can manifest correctly and in loving tune with the Universe?
Anyway, I would like to know if there is a good book/system out there that teaches you to work with Universal Laws and Principles that has really worked well for you.
Also, do you think we are really meant to manifest anything we want???
What is your take on this whole issue????

I only have one snippet to contribute:
The secret to life is what you want.
What you want is the secret to life.
Works either way. }>

How do I want to put this so it's understandable??
One big thing I've run into in the past and since learned.....state what you want to manifest, but NOT how to go about doing it. (If that makes sense?)
The times in the past I haven't gotten what I was after was when I was trying to tell the Universe HOW to go about giving me what I needed.
If I would just state "I need a bigger place to live" for example, but not saying "I need a house that has this, this and this. That is located here..." What I needed would usually manifest itself. But I'd also have to be paying attention because it may not be exactly what I was expecting so sometimes it wouldn't be clearly observable that it was the answer to my need.
I hope this in understandable. I feel like I was swimming through the murky water of my brain right now. LOL I know what I wanted to say but couldn't pull the right words out. Oh well, it's my day off. I think my brain has shut down. :-D

OK one other thing.... LOL
Part of the reason for the above is that the universe may have the perfect thing for you that is NOT what you were expecting, but that's much better. If you ask for the specifics you THiNK you want you may not get anything.
I'm done now!!! :) Hope this helps.

i totally believe in manifesting. that's then entire premise of the "Pathways Series" that i created with Maggie's Magic Spells.........start actively creating your reality instead of sitting by waiting for it to happen!
i agree with faunabay on most aspects although,
when i have had to move.....i wrote a list of everything that i wanted in my house and the maximum rent that i could pay. (ie: washer and dryer, bathtub, dining room for my antique table, large yard for the kids for no more than $650.00 a month incl. utilities) and the Goddess has blessed me with all my requirements in a home that i found my greatest good.
but don't ask the Goddess for $72 to pay this bill.....that limits her.....instead, ask that she assists you in getting the bill paid. that is a more open opportunity request....with the same outcome.
affirmations, spellwork, etc are excellent forms of manifesting our reality.
in light,
jade

The area I've not been successful in has been selling the condo. I put it up on the market in July and went to work on manifesting. I wrote letters to God (from Catherine Ponder's book). I tried the Wheel of Fortune technique. I did John Randolph Price's method. Lastly I followed the steps Doreen Virtue used herself (as mentioned in her book Lightworker's Way). I've stuck to each method for about a month before getting discouraged and looking for a new method. I even wrote out when I wanted to move out, etc...... I'm slightly frustrated because I've ALWAYS have been able to sale/buy a home within a month (two max). So I don't know what I'm doing wrong now.
I have considered that God/dess has other plans for me right now and that I need to be patient. Hmmmmmm

Forgive me, I forgot to thank you all for your input.
I also forgot to mention that when I first put the condo up for sale, an acquaintance of mine said, in effect, "good luck unloading that condo. Condoes don't sale!!!" Could that fear-seed have been planted deep within????

Just thought of something else!!! :D I asked my husband what he thought of my "getting a cabin by the lake" and keeping the condo for the colder months if the condo doesn't sell. I really like this idea. He said he liked it too but liked having a house/home better. ......... So it would seem that I AM confusing the Universe ....... changing my mind all the time: the condo will sell/the condo won't sell.......
Hell, I've never floundered like this before!!!! What has happened to my faith?????!!!! Arghhhhhhh!!!!!!!

ohhhh, so you want it now!!! *stomping your feet*
sometimes it takes the Goddess months or years to set everything up for the "next step" of our path.........
if you just simply ask the Goddess to bring you your greatest good regarding the condo............She will.

OK I think I've got my brain back - at least more of it. LOL
deso,
it really sounds like you're doing what I so badly put above. You have asked for the condo to sell, but you've said it has to be within this time frame. and when it didn't happen you ran to all these different ways to MAKE it happen. You're specifying to much.
IMO Jade is right. Ask God/dess to manifest what is best for all concerned regarding the condo and leave it at that.

Hi Deso,
I would kindly suggest that you look to the Teachers in this matter.
You role is to carefully and thoughtfully see that all that can be done, is done. Research your agent well, make sure your condo is bright, attractive and well-maintained, check local prices to make sure what you are asking looks good to potential buyers. Keep an eye on the market and your agent and if changes are required, do them promptly.
The only expenditure of your spiritual gifts is on keeping your family life happy and not allowing frustration to build up. Constantly tugging at the hem of the powers and demanding they satisfy your immediate wishes is not only unworthy but unlikely to do more than make you unhappy.
