TRUST? Some advice please!

I would like to know HOW can you trust someone after they have betrayed your trust on more than once? How many times can you forgive? I've just split from my partner because he had made me very depresssed about his own problems, which I don't think he is ready to deal with yet, even though has theapy a couple of times. + I don't think he will ever change unless he want to. I I've got to push myself to start my life over again, which is even more difficult as I'm not in my own country! I would like some advice please Do you always follow your gut feels? thanks Funkuss

Hi, I am normally a person who opts for giving s.o. a second chance but I think you gave your partner several chances and he made no sincere attempt to change. Some ppl are not willing to change their attitude for fear of losing the means of control/help/attention, in short, all the things they follow with that on purpose. Guess you have to see to your own life! There are things which you cannot mend for the other. You are not a free 24-hours-therapist for ppl selfmade problems, even if it is your partner.
