I Remember:
I remember being a mermaid,
the way the water caressed my hair and skin
The ability to move in fluid life,
Playing and Dancing
I remember being a child of the water,
Frolicing with siblings and kin children
Oh the fun and laughter we had...
I remember being a decendent of a people
who who came across the waters sheltered
inside a great vessel, and taking down our homes
and carrying them across long trails to another
gathering ground. Digging into the earth for food,
Washing in the rivers drinking from the rivers,
watching children grow
and then one day
the white man came.
I remember being at home, taking care of my
family and recieving the news that the
Titanic had sank.
That is something that touches me deeply
to this day. It whispered rememberance into my
ears at the age of thirteen in this life.
Finally a place to be able to say this without
being laughed at!

Inspiration? Hmmmmm
Past live de-javu....
Dreams....
Especially,extreme inself senses...
Does that help?
Not being in any way disrectfull, you are a male?(Malachite)
It's alright if you do not "get"it...
Perhaps I am on the wrong board...
You must forgive my newness, I shall catch up....
Alas the real world calls.
Until next time...
Heres to Love and Laughter!

Very nice, Floracove!
Its really good that you can put a past life deja vu into a poem like that...

I appreciate all the kind words,
but I wasn't really going for a poem
just writing...
it just came out that way
sometimes when I write
I get, well carried away
and usually when I speak either
people do not here me or
what I say is WAY over their head
It can be frustrating at times but I
realize that it's more their problem than
mine...
Heres to love and laughter!!!

I thought it was a poem cuz it sounded very much like free-verse poetry. You used very poetic and emotive words, which were very beautiful too....
Well, keep on writing more stuff like that!

...Maybe we should have a topic for poems? I know it would probably take up a lot of space, but it would be nice to have a place for others to write and read inspired poetry.

It is so cool to see how supportive everyone is on this line.
So many chats and forums (of the few I sampled) were positive, or even
cordial to newcomers! A poetry thread? Anyone? I guess I should be brave and start it, Idon't know if any of my stuff is appropriate for the tarot line.

I meant so very FEW of the other chats/forums were positive or even polite...

What do you remember?
Could be a long lost childhood dream?
Could be the echo of rememberance whispered in your ear,
some thing that brings with it a ripple of goose flesh to your skin...
What do You Remember?
Remember!

Floracove: I love remembering too. But how I also love that promise of tomorrow, you know when it's still dark, but then you hear the first bird chirping in it's nest, because he has sensed the dawn before it has arrived. And then you know that life is not just made of yesterdays, but also of tomorrows.
And mainly of todays :)
