Asking for Light

Hi Everybody, Today I was diagnosed with breast cancer (although I've known it intuitively for a few weeks) and the prognosis looks pretty good. I'm scheduled for surgery on May 1st for a lumpectomy, then will undergo radiation for about six weeks (I've declined chemo...too harsh). My biopsy results won't be back until next week, however, the doctor feels that it hasn't yet spread to my lymph nodes (he said the chance is only 30% that it has). Of course I had to ask the Doc his sign and no surprises here...he's a Cancer and the sign Cancer rules the breast! I'd appreciate if you would keep me in your prayers that everything works out well. Oh AG sorry to hear about your news, God there I go going on about my ex-boyfriend and how depressed I feel and you have this problem. Everyone has problems at the end of the day but if we all send some light and thoughts to eachother to help clear any negativity. ..........But AG you are doing really well you sound strong, YOU GO GIRL!! As a woman who watched her grandmother and mother go through radical mastectomy's, and who has had a lumpectomy myself 2 years ago, I have to tell you that your positive, strong attitude is surely your greatest weapon against this cellular enemy. I am sending you glowing white globes of radiant love and life- and keeping you in my thoughts. Please share your results when you can, Alison

My gramma had a radical mastectomy at age 40 or so (this would be back in dark ages of medicine, in 1940) and she lived to be 99 years old with NO recurrence of cancer, except for some small skin melanomas she had frozen off (not related). My mother had a mastectomy in her mid-fifties, later had a hysterectomy, and 15 years or so after that, had a few lumps come back- but has beaten it with a 6 week stint of daily radiation trtmnts. Kind of odd that I stumbled upon this thread, as today is her birthday -68th-and I was putting off calling her. AG- you probably don't need to hear all of this, but thank you for sharing it with us, because I hadn't stopped to think about those months of fighting Mom's cancer's. The support and love on here is so real.

AG, I am so sorry that you and your body have to go through this! You do so much for many of us here at Aeclectic - so now its your time to give yourself extra care! Drink plenty of water along with your radiation (I don't blame you for declining chemo - its equivalent to rat poison) and feed yourself lots of antioxidants. Meditate and picture the cancer leaving your body. Keep your witty sense about you and think positively, along with all of us. I'm am happy to hear that you caught it fairly early - its proof that Breast Cancer Awareness programs are working. I just said a prayer and I felt the chills - that's when I know that the good vibes are emitting to you!! Love and God Bless - ~ january

AG, sending you healing white light and the courage and strength to get thru this to health. also sending reiki and all colors of the rainbow. drink in what you need when you need it. i will keep doing this everyday. i am agreeing with january in reminding to drink lots of water and antioxidant foods. i'm sure you already know this. great news that your dr. is a Cancer. kind of ironic too. :-) bunches of love and light on their way! love, light and hope, New River

AG, I've read this post many times, have sent you lot's of energy, but have just a little trouble with actually posting. Love and light to you. I actually did my honours thesis on peoples natural ability to fight cancer and it's relationship to meditation, coping mechanisms and social support. I met many amazing people through this experience. Co-incidentally (or not?) my mother was diagnosed at the same time. It was a strange time and so much good came out of it. We were always a very close family, but this just made us more so. It showed us what a shining light of strength my mother was, and is. Developing cancer is strongly related to repressing emotions. My mother was bottling a lot of grief. Take care to express any negative emotions. This of course isn't always the case, but it is a well researched fact.

Butterfly, I'm so sorry to hear that your Mom had cancer and hope she's now feeling fine. Thank you for sending good wishes my way. I can feel (honestly) all the love, light, rainbows and good vibes everyone has so lovingly sent. About three months before I knew I had cancer I wasn't sleeping well. Up at 3 or 4AM and couldn't get back to sleep. Eventually, I felt very fatigued from not sleeping and now I realize that my body was attempting to tell me something. Since I posted this message on April 2nd, I've slept soundly every night and really am feeling terrific! I just know it's from everyone's good will and I am so appreciative. In Louise Hay's "Healing Your Life", she speaks of getting cancer as repressed emotions (she did have cancer and did heal). I'm not sure if mine is related or not (one of eight women gets breast cancer and I don't know if all of them have repressed emotions), but it could be. I'm now reading "Healing Essence" by Mitchell Gaynor, MD. He's a cancer doctor who developed a "healing essence" for his paitents. It's really a wonderful book and can be utilized by anyone. It's really a lot better to heal thyself BEFORE thyself becomes ill. Happy Stars and Rainbows to all of you. Love, AG

Hi AG, I'm continuing to surround you in healing white light. You're in my prayers always. I have great faith in the soft cover book, The Power of Your Subconscious Mind, by Joseph Murphy, Ph.D. I have recommended this book to so many people that I boast that I am responsible for the newest edition. The original publication was 1963. If you do look for it be sure to look at the revised,updated, and expanded edition by Ian McMahan, Ph.D. It's a great buy for $7.50 (thrifty Virgo, the bargain hunter). Clients have called to tell me of the positive results they have had in many areas of their lives because of the helpful information in this remarkable book. My mother has been cancer free for over six years. You might know that the five year mark is a major milestone, where they are considered "healed". Cancer (all kinds) is closely related to Type C personality types (people who avoid conflict, negative feelings, etc), just as heartattacks are related to stressed workaholics. So, no, it's not always the case- there is also diet, genetics, radiation exposure etc. It is just another thing to consider IMO. They actually studied this little village in Germany once and predicted who would have a heartattack and who would develop cancer. It was remarkably accurate!! True! I love the way you are handling it. They say there are four coping styles- fighters- who take on responsibility for curing themselves, those who refuse to believe it's a big deal, those who are convinced it will get them, and darn- what is the fourth type ( I think it's those who hand their power over to doctor, divine)? Anyway, the people with the best prognosis are the fighters and the ones who believe it's no big deal (definitely my mum). You haven't handed your power over to anyone. You have kept control and we love you for that!
