Kiama took some time the other day to tell me what Beltane is.
Today at work, I was looking at the postage stamps on my in-coming letters. And on a letter from the Republic of Georgia (now independent country of the ex-Soviet Union), there were two stamps. One had Russian Orthodox symbols on it, and the other was a beautiful picture, all in shades of greens, with people dressed in rather brightly coloured medieval clothes, obviously having a celebration, looking wild with happiness, and one of the participants is jumping over what is very obviously a Beltane fire.
I find this interesting that the Georgian Republic has made a stamp on this subject. Unfortunately, I can't ask the person I correspond with there to elaborate for me - I have to be extremely professional with him in order to get things running smoothly between us.

That is interesting :) I'd like to see it... don't suppose you could scan it and add it as an attachment???

I would scan it if I had a scanner.
