Greetings and blessed be everyone-
I want to share an experience that I have recently had. For those that remember my post, I adopted an abandoned kitten several weeks ago and had to bottle feed her because she was only about 2 weeks old. She has done wonderfully and is growing into a wonderful addition to my home. Well, for about the first 2 weeks that I had her, she basically did nothing but eat and sleep. She took no interest in much of anything and really seemed kinda "un-cat like" I made the comment a few times to my hubby that I thought she might be stunted mentally that perhaps the mother had abandoned the litter because she sensed that the kittens were not normal..this is a natural instinct sometimes of animals. Well, a few weeks ago, I was sitting here at the computer and I heard her screaming from the next room. I went to check on her and she looked very distressed. It hard to describe what I saw, but she looked very frightened and was screaming and hissing at..well..things that were not there.(I have had cats all my life and I have never seen one act even close to this way) I thought she was dying it looked so harsh. I tried to comfort her but she acted like she didn't even see me. She finally calmed down a bit. I cuddled her til she went to sleep. Later after she woke up, she was a completely different cat. Its hard to really describe but there was absolutely a complete personality change..I mean she HAD a personality after that..I mean immediately after awakening after this episode she was dramatically different. She started playing with things, noticing the world around her, being curious..in essence...she was "Cat-like". I am just about convinced that she received a soul at that time. I have always thought that animals had souls but up until that point I thought that they must be born with them. I think what I witnessed was this kitten receiving a soul. Incidently..this was the day of the first full moon after she was born.
I know this sounds really weird but if you could see the dramatic different in her..I think you would agree.
She was given a new name after that day. LunaSoul.
Blessings,
Moonklad

WOW that is an amazing story. Before I came to your conclusion I was thinking (yuck) possesion of some sort, I like your reasoning better. What a wonderful name BTW. :TMOON

WOW!!! All of my life I've been told "animals have no souls" but I just can't see that being so. I can believe that they aren't necessarily spiritual, if that makes sense. That is an amazing story ~ I wonder what it felt like for your kitty! I'm glad she's doing well and is happy with your family, and now she has her soul!

It is a proven fact that full moons have an effect on many things. But I don t think you witnessed you cat being given a soul. All animals are born with souls, and even from the moment of conception, a soul is appointed to that animal/human, and the soul and body unite at birth.

wow. great story. give little LunaSoul an extra pat from me.
though I agree with Rain on this...
my take is that she encountered a demon -- a personal demon, that is -- and confronted it -- whether from a past life, or just from her tramatic start in this world. She's released her fear and opened up to life. what a brave little girl. :)

What an interesting story. I also think that animals have a soul from the very beginning. Maybe your kitten was in a kind of shock (yes, cats can suffer from shocks just as men) and maybe she somehow realized for the first time a change in her environment and got a kind of anti-shock.

I'm so happy that your kitten now has a "real life" and is so happy. :) That's a great story.
I agree with you that animals have souls. No matter what anyone told me to the contrary, I have been steadfast in my belief that they possess souls. :)

Its obvious your little cat went through some kind of crisis but she did make it through, it could have been somekind of delayed shock or just a very violent nightmare. It might have given her a wakeup call to what a good place she has come to. Cats can be a little strange at times, mine always were lol, so that could have caused her attitude adjustment lol
You'll probably find she's a little devil as she grows :)
Oh also I do believe animals have souls, my dogs taught me that :)

i disagree with everyone here. you were there you saw your kitten and i trust your interpretation of the events! completely.
perhaps your kitten has expected to die and the soul either left or hadn't come into the body, but then because of your love and unconditional compassion and care.........it was ready to live.
what a beautiful story,
love and light,

I'll have to disagree, Jade. How can any animal live if it does not have a soul...what would be God's purpose in that???

I agree that animals (humans included) are born with a soul. I personally doubt that after weeks of being alive on this planet, that a soul just jumps in. Could it be more in the realm of possibility that the kitten was experiencing an energy force outside of itself that perhaps you were not aware of? Mmmmm.

I appreciate everyones comments and thoughts. Truthfully, I have no way of knowing exactly what was happening that day. All I can say is she was COMPLETELY different after that moment. Everyone who has a pet knows that each one has a unique personality. She is now different than she was. Before she just seemed..like animated flesh..Now she is just different. So, to me..she got a soul in that sense certainly
I agree with those that say that animals have souls from birth..or at least I did before this experience. Now I am not so sure. Good points brought up.
For those interested, Lunasoul is doing just fine. So sweet...and she has a new friend..yet ANOTHER kitten! yikes..this makes like...well..around 10 or so cats now. Help me..I have a pet addiction!!!hahah

As far as addictions go, I can't think of anything better than collecting pets (collecting tarot cards comes in 2nd) I think it's great that you are taking in kitties. I'm kind of a dog person myself, and I can't imagine anyone ever disputing that animals have souls. Wonderful, loving, distinctive souls. I think human beings could really learn a lot from the soul traits of certain animals. No lies, they just live it like it is.
