Current husband sees ghost of my former lover

Has anyone ever had this happen to them? My former lover died two years ago and shortly after while mourning for him I "asked" him to come and kiss me and really imagined him coming. Then shortly after I let the thought go. About 20 minutes later my husband said he thought he saw someone out of the corner of his eye standing in the hall. I saw the way my husband's eyes flicked and it seemed to me that he really saw something or someone, judging by his immediate reaction. I find this fascinating because "I" really wanted to see my former beloved. "I" wanted to see his "ghost". But my husband seeing "him" seems to prove that our loved ones who pass on before we do live on. Any thoughts on this one?

They usually do come visit us. Most are simply not aware. The longer we hold onto them after they are gone, the more they have to stick around (That did not come out right, but I will let it stand). It is important for them, that we let them go. Then they may stay by choice, but not by obligation. Often they have other things to do, but we mortals hold onto them. Some souls are too confused upon passing. It takes a while for them to get their bearings. It is a shame that most cannot be awake enough to have the awareness to say goodbye. You obviously did (although you did not realize it). Your husband sounds very special, take care of him.

wow, did your current husband know (before, during, or afterwards) that you asked for your former lover to come kiss you? Or did you act confused about who the ghost could be? Anyhow, so do you think his spirit came to kiss you, or do you think he just came to hangout for a little bit, since 20 minutes passed when your husband saw him? Well, i guess both could have happened also. But when your husband saw him in the hallway, were you with your husband at the time, or were you in another room? I'm trying to get the clear picture of where each of you were when this happened. OK, i'm beginning to ramble on with my questions, must be getting tired. lol Lin

Thanks for answering, both of you. And yes, I have since learned about letting the departed get on with their new lives. Very important. I've been reading quite a bit about this. About the incident: Both my husband and I were at the dining table when the "ghost" came. My back was to the ghost and my husband was sideways. So only my husband was in a position to view. Hence, the proof, so to speak: someone else actually seeing the supernatural aspect I was asking for. No, my current husband did not know (before, during, or afterwards) that I asked my former lover to come kiss me. He didn't know my former lover. I didn't act cnfused about who the ghost could be; I asked my husband as much as possible about what he saw in the form of curiousity. I was quite calm and extremely interested. My husband thought it quite odd that he momentarily saw someone "who wasn't there". Yes, I think my former beloved's spirit came to kiss me and then discovered me unable to do much about my invitation. I feel badly about that all around, for both my former beloved and my husband. That was thoughtless of me. I guess I was being sloppy with my beliefs about what the universe could actually do for me. I guess I believed and didn't believe. I think the strength of my belief made my former beloved come and that my doubt made my invitation quite inappropriate.

Thankyou for sharing that story with us. I am very interested in hearing about spirits and am happy for you to hear that you are learning how to deal with death, its not easy. One more question, has your husband ever seen spirits before? I have never, but am trying to learn how to open myself up more to see them. Lin

Well, whatever you do , lie to your husband and tell him that he is being ridiculous. And continue to summon your lover and make love to him and use the energy for magickal purposes. A great way to do this is in the book called Sex magick and he has a section where you can make love to Gods/Godesses or whatever suits your magicakal needs at the time or *ahem* fantasies

No, my husband has never seen spirits before but I suspect he is more psychic than he knows. He is not at all "into" new age-y things.

I wouldn't lie to my husband, but then I don't have to. I just asked him what he saw and didn't offter any explanations. I speak to my former lover from time to time and hope he can hear me. I think he does. I ask for signals and get synchronicity. But what I want to know is what is the connection between making love to him and getting, never mind using, energy for magickal purposes? I guess that's in the book called Sex Magic.
