Dance of the Mask/Tarot

Hey folks... How are you?...Hope you´re all fine!!! Well, I´ve been reading this book, which is quite interesting, and it describes ,also, a ritual with tarot cards... The book is about Telhemic Magic of Maat, an Egyptian kind of magic...This book contains a theoretical part and a practical part... So, in the practical section of the book I read this ritual... Well, there are lots of explanations in the book, and descriptions, and rituals and stuff, and of course, I couldn´t explain it all here... But, the dance of the mask uses the tarot... and after you perform the ritual and other things, you try to "incorporate" the essence of each of the Major Arcana cards of the tarot into to your own personality... It´s like if you created a multiple self...for each different situation in life, instead of reacting as the normal you, you´d try to react as if you had inside you the traits of a certain card of the Major Arcana... The author suggests a period of experience after the ritual...it would be something like being that specific card you´d chosen for the moment, and paying attention to the reaction of strangers... Why strangers?...Because the people you know could get kinda puzzled with your change of attitudes, and wouldn´t give you an appropriate feedback... I liked the idea of doing that...I think it would be a nice experience... What´s your opinion about it? Which card do you think that reflects better your regular personality? Which card you think that doesn´t match you? Etc...?

Has anybody here ever pictured him/herself as a Major Arcana Card???.... I mean...Have you ever tried to think of which of the Major Arcana cards matches your personality better???? Or which you think you should be more like it???

My first tarot book The Magick of Tarot by Melita Denning and Osborne Phillips has a chapter entitled Tarot Drama. It talks about dressing up as a card and dancing/acting out the energies. The authors spoke about doing this as a method of 'energising' a tarot spell or attracting the qualities of the archtype you personalise. One of the illustrations they used was Louis XIV as the Sun King. :D Sounds like a very powerful and exciting thing to do Ramses. Are you going to give it a try? })
