I finally had what I believe was a "guide" visit me in my dreams last night! I'm so excited!
I was just having a regular old dream when I started hearing a growling noise. In the dream I was in a grassy area just walking along and then I saw what I thought was a rabid rabbit. He looked very menacing anyway (strange for a rabbit). He was growling at me! My first instinct was to run away, but instead I crouched down and hid my face, showing that I was submissive. He then said to me, "Don't be afraid, I will help to protect you from those who wish you harm" and then I looked into his eyes. They were red, the rabbit itself was a soft brown color.
I woke up and realized that the "growling" was really my husband snoring, so I punched him. But I made SURE I remembered the dream.
So, what do you think?

Hi Rhiannon. :)
Wow, that's interesting! I'm surprised that you didn't run away from the rabbit, since it seemed a bit scary. I understand that you've been having this dream before, is this the reason? You know, some times one is not able to get 'rid of' a dream until you confront it properly.
You'll have to tell us if you dream about the rabbit again. Does it has a name? Maybe you can try asking for it, before you go to sleep. It's soooo fascinating with names; finding their origin, meanings etc.
Keep us updated, and in the meantime: good dreaming! :D
Blessings,

You may find that working with Runes AND cards, that doors previously closed, begin to open. It can be unsettling at first.
Just remember…it is not the Runes nor the Tarot, they are only keys that unlock the doors…
Go take a nap…

Hey guys, thanks! I did take a nap today, but no rabbit. I was sort of snoozing in between telling the kids to go and play upstairs. LOL
I haven't had this particular dream before. I may have had a visitation from one of my tarot cards though. The card from my Goddess deck for Temperance is Yemana. I remember having a dream about her, but I can't remember what happened.
I certainly hope I see the rabbit again. I will try to speak with him more this time. Every time I think about it I get this rush of energy and adrenaline. It's so cool!
Rhiannon :)
Oh, and Umbrae... I have been sleeping with the runes on my headboard, right behind my head. Maybe they are influencing me. ;)

Rhiannon,
That's very interesting... a growling rabbit! I don't know if this helps but I once wrote this story along time ago and your dream totally reminded me of it.
It's first person pov of a stray dog out in the city who leaves to go north. It learns how to hunt and all that and chases after a rabbit and ends up killing it. And when it does, the rabbit turns into a wolf and both of their eyes are red. I think. The sentence is vague so it could go either way (only one of them, or both of them have red eyes).
The only connection I can think of is the moon. Both rabbits and dogs/wolves are connected w/the moon (I'm not sure why rabbits. It's not like they're nocturnal or anything!). The moon is refered to sometimes as red....

I own a pet rabbit. His name is Everest and he has free run of the house.
I just wanted to tell you that rabbits *do* occasionally growl! It's not frequent, but it does occur, usually when they are really, really angry or frightened. I have heard that female rabbits, in particular, can get extremely aggressive when taking care of their kits. So maybe in your dream, your rabbit guide was a female being protective? Everest grunts alot, too, usually as way of telling us "hey, I was happy doing [whatever] - don't bug me!"
Ayway, just wanted to share that!
