Well, tonight me and my SO will just be making ourselves a vegetarian Yule feast (Nut loaf with berry sauce, lots of roasted winter veges) and then cuddling up inside our warm house! :D But tommorrow evening we're going to go into town and watch the Midwinter carnival. Hey Mermaid - my fellow vege Kiwi friend :D Hee hee - we're gonna enjoy a sumptuous warm and filling feast while you poor Northerners sweat it out *jk* :D Hmmm - can you tell I'm a "winter person"?! Going over to a good friend's house tonight for food 'n' witchiness! Oh and LOTS of alcohol - gotta keep warm somehow, ya know! ;) Merry Yule and a warm Winter Solstice to Mermaid and me, and any other mates from "Down Under"! And to all you Northies - have a bright Summer Solstice and joyful Litha!!!

I'm so sad... This is my favourite holiday of the year (Summer Solstice) and last year on the morning of the 21st, around 2am, me, my boyf, and a friend all got up, trudged a coupl of miles to our magickal place, and watched the sunrise.... It was beautiful... This year we didn't thoughj, cuz I had a bloody exam this moning! Talk about a downer! I'm am SOOOO angry that I couldn't celebrate how I love to celebrate... I also gotta revise today non-stop for the next exam, so no ritual today... :( Next year I may appease this year's loss by taking myself to Stonehenge... }) Kiama

Theres "happens" to be a free Celtic concert in the park today,so thats what Im doing :) I bet the city would freak if they realised it was a Pagan holiday hehe we might go down to the rier for a bit, Illproalypacka picic dinner to eat at the concert, and were going out for ice cream.Perhaps well go to the kids park a bit and let them run around. Hopefully this will wear them out so they come home and go to sleep so i can celebrate wilh my husand }) :THP

It may have been Yule here in Perth but the sun is still shining and the sky is blue! I love sunny winter days :) But it didn't feel like Yule perhaps should... I was actually quite unwell last night so didn't do anything... :(

one of the greatest lessons i've learned since joining up here is the quirks of time. my son lives on the west coast usa, i live on the east coast, so i have had bits of the idea of the non-uniformity of time... but now, when i tell someone at work (i work at an adult day care center with demensia and altzhiemer's people) what day it is, it reminds me that in australia it's already tomorrow. and now, right before sunrise, i get on my computer-- listening to the birds greet the sun on the supreme day of light (and my birthday to boot). i flip to 'non-tarot', click 'spirituality' and lo and behold! what greets me?? a string that starts out happy yule...!!! ***** immeadiate reality check****** it never hit me this hard. now i'm waiting for space to disappear :) LVX (more or less-- depending) steve

MUCH OF AN INNER CELEBRATION I'D SAY!!! *LOL* In the evening, all I managed to do befoe the Gestapo caught me red-handed was to light an incense stick and a candle, cast a circle, burn some flowers (I couldn't burn the pouch, too cospicuous) and then got straight to bed. I had such a headache! The exam, the heat, the sun on my head at uni... ... At least I called Jade... :D
