On Friday I went to visit my sister in Syracuse. We went to this wonderful metapysical bookstore there because I was interested in getting some books, insence and stones The usual supplies. :-)
For the past year my sister had been wanting me to meet a friend of hers who is psychic, and on Friday she was at the store doing readings. I'm a very private person and I don't like to have my readings done, I don't want people seeing me too closely. Curiosity got the better of me.
She didn't read my cards. She did mostly my palm and my auras. The very first thing she said when she looked at my palm was that I'm psychic and a healer. That I have a divine nature. She even compared my palm to hers to show me how similar they are.
She talked about how I had gained weight over the past few years and how I had needed this extra weight to build up my psychic energies. She mentioned my back problems, migraines, heart palpatations. Strange dreams. Marriage, finnances, kids.
The whole reading was amazingly accurate. She was off on a few things but not to the point of being completely wrong.
About ten minutes before the reading, when my sister first introduced us, she shook my hand and said there was a book I must read. She went off to find it in the bookstore. Came back and handed it to me. The Lightworker's Way by Doreen Virtue. Over and over during my reading she said that she had deffinately given me the right book to read. I bought the book. LOL
I still hate the thought of having my readings done. But I will go back to this woman. She has a very calming nature about her. And I will read the book because I'm interested in knowing how much psychic ability I do have and how to make the most of it.

Yeah, good thing you decided to have a reading done. I think I may check that book out soon.

Synchronisity big time. I just recommended one of Doreen Virtues book called Divine Guidance which is very good and I have read the Lightworkers Way though I don't agree with everything she says in it. Its a very good book and very practical. Of course not everytime you see a psychic is she going to be 100% accurate I read somewhere that psychic readings should be 80%-90% accurate. That was just some authors opinion. Its a good book and I think you'll like it. It helped me heal alot after a very bad separation and returning to my husband. I was not having anymore of "his" way of getting over things and took my time healing after reading this book. Hope you like it.

A psychic told me that they need practice to interpret vision, sounds and maybe smell that are shown to them...maybe that is why it is 100% all the time?

Its just like anything like birth control its not 100% accurate lol! I think most psychics that are honest and truly want to help people are just right on with their readings and there are so many ways to read for people. Tarot cards, palm readings, aura reading, feeling, seeing etc.

I feel she was correct on the issues that were important at this time in my life. My stress over finnances, my worry about an upcoming move, my own confusion over my psychic abilities. The things she picked up on that are not as important in my life right now she was slightly off on.
I have just finished part one of The Lightworker's Way, and although some of the author's views and beliefs differ from my own I will continue reading. Part one was an overview of her own life and spiritual beliefs. I do truly believe I was given this book to read for a reason. The psychic seemed to believe that I am a healer or Lightworker. I don't know if I am, or if I even want to be one, but I still feel I must read this book. Part two focuses on your psychic abilities so I am sure I will start to find the book much more interesting now.

>>The very first thing she said when she looked at my palm was that I'm psychic and a healer. <<
sorry to be such a cynic, but after going to many psychics and having friends that have been to many, it seems to that the first thing they say is what they told you?
If you read my previous post from about a month ago you'll see why I have become such a cynical person. As far as I'm concerned if you're centred and live from your centre and be guided from your heart you'll know what to do and what life will bring you. We are all intuitive but somehow always need someone else to tell us it, something that is really right in front of us always. but if the experiece has helped you gain a little wisdom and helped you then it's a good thing. I don't take that away from you. each to his own way of finding their path.
Blessed be

Well I do readings part time and most come to me for their problems and I don't just claim to be"psychic" I am a witch and have helped many people that come for help. Even us witches/tarot readers need someone else to do readings for us when we are just too close to our problems to be objective and this happens sometimes. My brother just went to a Psychic yesterday she read palms and aura's. I told him let me read for you and he prefered that it be someone who was not so close to him which I agreed "yes, maybe you need that kind of distance". I thru some Runes stones after he told me he was going and they were basically telling me the same thing she told him when he got back he called me. Now he wants me to light a candle for him as there is alot of negativity around him right now. So the connection she had and I had were not very far off at all. ;)
