The Tree Path or Qabalah

Recently I went to a metophysical store to get some things and in the literature section a book fell to my feet on the Tree of Life and the Qabalah. The Shoppe ownerremarked its a book of growth and how to plant roots, "for once you should" she remarked. This had a significant impact on my life as I truly never had a "home" or a place to plant roots for myself. Upon researching it further, as I did not do the smart thing and buy the book right away (cursed material world and my credit card getting low) I have found out that the book is indeed amazing- or the concepts and teachings of this Qabalah and Tree Path of Life. Does anyone know of any good resources that are good reads? Has anyone used the Qabalah and ancient language to decifer tarot cards as mentioned in the Qabalah? Any advice is always a blessing from you- thanks in advance -Ophelia

Dion Fortune wrote an excellent book on the Quabbalah called 'The mystical quabbalah' that should help you understand the 'tree of life'. Also Crowley wrote some great stuff on it too, and has a couple of intense books on the subject. blessed be

I think there's a study group going on about the relationship between Tarot and the Quaballah, Ophelia. Look in the study group section if you're interested!

There is a study group forming about the qabalah in the general section. I would advise reading Israel Regardies 'A garden of pomegranates' and Crowleys 'book of thoth' I would also advise drawing a tree of life for yourself, and adding ideas /corrospondances as you learn....it is good to get these ideas and feelings out:-)

ophelia-- a few suggestions so you don't drown in the ocean of qabala... dion fortune's book ' the mystical qabalah' is excellent-- i'm in the middle of re-reading it again. try also 'ladder of lights' by william grey. i would start with these two. then i would go for wang's 'qabalistic tarot'-- this one will give you a very good understanding of the inter-connecting of the tarot and qabala. crowley's 'book of thoth' gets a bit obscure and almost confusing; regardie's 'garden of pomegranates' covers much ground. these are advanced 'texts'-- definitely not qabala 101 LOL. i suggest you wait until you have a good grounding before attempting either of these.
