i am adding this at the top of this thread so we can find it and add to it whenever we need to..............okay so we have......so far........ so, zorya can send to me, i'll send to kaz, kaz to tarotlady and tl to zorya. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ now onto my original post.......... i was up reading the section 'reading exchange' and i thought.......hmmmmmmmm, why don't we have a reiki exchange? why don't we send each other healings instead of always asking for healings.....be more focused on receiving and giving and then receiving and then giving :D so, anyone interested in signing up? love jade

I'd be interested, jade! I was also thinking about maybe a study group? Because there are quite a lot of people here doing reiki and I'd be interested in sharing experiences with others.

excellent. okay i've never done any of the study groups before so how do we go about this? i'm not into lecturing an just reading reams of info. i would rather try different things with reiki to allow our experiences of what is possible with reiki to grow. does that sound good to everyone or am off base? we'll wait a couple more days to get all the rest of the wonderful reiki people here at aeclectic to join if they wish and then we can set up a healing circle..............YIPPEE! in light, jade :D

I agree. For me, a study group would be a place to share experiences about how you do things. After my second degree attunement I shared my experiences with two friends who got their second degree attunements years ago, and it was interesting to hear how they practised reiki, because everyone develops their own personal style after a while.

i agree. i suggest to my students to allow their reiki to be. i know that i do reiki differently than my m/t does :D love jade ps can you all tell how excited i am about this?

Well we could start by posting our experiences with Reiki, then maybe move onto pre selected exercises, like channeling reiki into animals, plants, tarot decks, reiki and magick, etc.

When I received my 2nd attunement i cried.. it wasnt something intentional - in fact i dont believe i had any control over it at all.. it was a beautiful experience that was several years ago and sadly, with a hectic lifestyle and moves overseas i havent practised reiki in quite some time - this could be a good opportunity for me to start again with others who i can ask for advice from and share the experience.. phoenix, i was also thinking of healing your great grandmothers soul so that your life and your families lives are different and are affected in the positive. using reiki to communicate with animals, trees and rocks. using reiki to cleanse a clients chakras during a session in perhaps a different way than you have been. finding ways of setting up healing nights in your own community to share the light with others. etcetcetc jade

Kelli, I've had quite a few people cry after giving them reiki treatments and attunements. Because reiki works on the emotional plan it obviously hit on and probably opened an emotional block for you. I find after receiving reiki or after being attuned I'm in a dreamlike floaty state for quite a long time (several hours) afterwards. One thing I highly recommend is to drink lots of water after doing any kind of reiki session whether you are the one doing the healing or receiving the healing. This really makes a big difference to me. Another thing I do is cleanse (rake) the persons aura after a session. It really cleans out a lot of residual 'gunk' afterwards. If you do this be sure to eliminate all the gunk by grounding it afterwards, otherwise it will cling to you. Magicmadrigal

okay so we have......so far........ tarotlady, zorya, phoenix, kelli, and magicmadrigal. so perhaps we could do a sort of round robin? i will send a session to tarotlady.......she can send a session to zorya, ......zorya to phoenix,.......phoenix to kelli..........kelli to mm and mm to me (jade) how's that for starters. so let's all send the sessions for tomorrow night......okay? so when we all go to bed, at whatever time zone that is, we can call upon the session to come to us, and we can bask in the glory of reiki from a new face :D love jade

i'm sorry all, i don't believe in time and space. i often send a session today for someone to pick up later. when you send the session it will be there at the exact right time that it is supposed to be. so, everyone send their sessions and whenever your friday night is......accept the session that was sent to you. i like my clients to say "i am ready, willing and able to accept this reiki session from jade, for my greatest good." place their hands on their body (anywhere) and enjoy! if you feel a blockage.......take three nice deep breaths to clear your energy and accept the gift coming to you. so rather than getting into clocks and timezones........let's instead get into trust. trust that you will send the energy when it's needed and that you will receive the energy when you are ready. in light, jade ps i have even sent sessions after the person has accepted them........because there is no time and space. ;)

I would love to join the study group! I received my Reiki I a few months ago. In my tradition, you aren't attuned to send reiki long distance until you are Level II. But can I still participate in the discussions? Jade... I really liked your description of time and space and the reception factor. When my sister, Amyel, told me that people on aecletic were going to send me reiki and other positive "vibes", I wasn't sure what to do -- or how to receive it when I wasn't sure when or what was coming. So I did a mini meditation -- as much as my poor sick body could muster -- and said something like "Whatever good and beneficial energies are coming my way, I am open to receive them and accept them as long as they are good for me and the baby. I trust my own energies to incorporate them as needed." Then I just let whatever higher level do it's thing. LOL. It's good to know I was sorta on the right track.

when i received the reiki that tarotlady sent, i felt soooo relaxed, and fell asleep faster than i ever had! lol. i would love to try this again!!! friday sounds good! phoenix, did you feel anything?

I'm still feeling very insecure about my reiki abilities, always wondering whether it's actually working (being the insecure sceptic that I am... :D), so I like getting feedback! ;) Although I'm getting more confident about it, because of some positive feedback I've had (including yours!).
