I am on holiday from work at the moment but my mind doesn't seem to want to be! When I sleep I just keep dreaming pointless, uninteresting things about work... My mind needs a holiday too - how can I stop dreaming about work?

Jakyle, have you ever tried hot milk with honey? I heard it's almost as relaxing... :D (and I mean you should *drink* it, ok? ;) ) Kayne, you can either try to occupy your mind with other things - go watch a movie, read a captivating book; or you let your brain "defragment the harddrive" without interfering. These dreams should stop after a few nights, when your brain realizes that you two are on a *holiday*...

in order to stop a reoccuring dream theme one must get to the bottom of it. What is it that your subcon. wants you to know? the other thing would be dream innoculation, create your own dream.

LOL -- Jackle :D Kayne, all these are good suggestions. (hee hee) ... I don't have anything much to add, except I sympathesize with you! Sometimes (when I HAD a job. wah!) I would get stuck in these repetitive endless dreams about working on the computer, laying out a brochure, building websites, etc. ARGH! they are the worst! and, then you have to get up the next day and actually do it! no escape!!!

Before you go to bed, talk to yourself out of any worries you have with your job, saying like for example: "Everything is okey with my job I will handle anything that have to do with my job when I return back from my vacation". this might help.

{{{{{{{kayne}}}}}}}}} hope you are enjoying your vacation! Since you work with little kids, perhaps some part of you unconsciously feels guilty for "leaving " them ?( not that you should). Maybe you are worried about how they are faring without you, or you feel it's your responsibility to be with them , even though logically you are on vacation. In any case, who can control the unconscious and dreams anyhow? I still dream about people I knew years ago and things like that. Why don't you make your vacation Days so enjoyable and fun filled that it doesn't even matter what you dream at night ;) . :) .

try reading a good book RIGHT before you go to bed, or something in that manner. that helps me when i keep dreaming about annoying subjects.
