The Psalms and Spellwork

You must not doubt, by a rational use of the Psalms you may obtain your desires. Is there anyone in here who uses the Psalms for spell work. I must say that it is a very good source of spells and the emotion that was expended while David wrote them is immaculate. The Psalms are worded perfectly, so it is easier to state you desire(just read the appropiate one)

I agree. Psalams are perfect tools for solving emotional problems. I often use it, and then I feel so protected.

Yep I have a couple books on it, Candleburning with the Psalms gives you a color candle, a God name, and a use for all the Psalms, and Raymond Bucklands Practical Candleburning Magic has rituals using the Psalms in it. (which a lot of Pagans dont like, since Buckland is a big name Wiccan guy hehe) :THP

Christianity, the organized kind, often has problems; but christianity, the philosopy kind, doesn't have to be bad... And, of course, the Psalms aren't christian at all, they're hebrew :D

Lo, Ivrit. I suppose they would work in english, but they work best in the original Aramaic.

How about we split the difference and say 'Semitic' and not argue about when the inhabitants of Palestine switched from Hebrew to Aramaic (between 700-500 B.C. if I remember my middle eastern history) or whether the Psalms were written/gathered together before, during or after that period and how much, if anything, did David have to do with writing any of them?
