I do but not as often as I'd like. :-) Had all kinds of interesting experiences over the years. My last one was pretty dull though... just flying over the forest. There is a lot of forest around where I live so of course it is in the astral too.

I do. :)
I became first fascinated with and began studying Astral Projection in 1993. I had various interesting AT experiences since then.
Now... still discovering different theories and wonderful new methods for me to try out. :)

I was thrown into the experience when we lived in a haunted house. It was a very traumatic experience for me, because I had no control over it and I was attacked every time it happened to me. When we moved, it stopped and although I now wish I could do it, I can't. I don't think I'm blocking the ability - I rather think that I never could do it on my own, I was just yanked out of my body and hurled across the Astral plane when we lived in that house ;)

I dont have time for it anymore, but I used to travel. Didnt really do much, just kind of hung out at this really cool river thats near my astral entry point, probably the astral equivalent of the Susquehanna that runs by my hometown.

Has any one read Ray Bradbury's _From the Dust Returned_? One of the main characters, Cecy, does something similar to astral travel. She "sleeps," yet she travels through the world... stopping briefly inside of a bird's mind, peering out of its eyes at the world below, then out of a young girl getting ready for the dance, then at the insane asylum, then from a frog at the side of a road...
It would be fascinating to have an ability like that. :) All the different perspectives...

I've astral travelled a bit over the years, but weirdest was seeing my son astral travelling into my room when he was a baby. Makes me wonder what he is capable of. (He's 8 now).

I did sometimes but not so often anymore. The first 2 times I nearly freaked out as it happened unprepared but the last 2 times I really enjoyed it especially the flight over a city unknown to me in a stormy night. That was cool!

I`ve tried to leave my body a few times but just can`t do it. One of the exercises I tried involved staring at something just before sleep. Thing is without my contact lenses in I`m blind as a bat and so I couldn`t see anything to stare at (lol). I`d love to be able to do it though. If I managed it without my lenses in, would I be able to see on the astral plane or not? That`s the question.

crystalmynx... I think you'd be able to see perfectly well! After all, when you astral travel, it is your spirit that does the travelling, not your body, and as your eyes are a physical thing and a part of your body I guess they'd get left behind with it.

Would you please share a little description of "how" you travel and a short 'definition' of astral travel. I'm pretty sure I know what it is, but not positive. I think I may have even done it once or twice, but I want to make sure I'm thinking of the right thing. :)
Thanks!

Ok now first a definition, astral traveling is also called an obe or out of body experience. Now the astral is the spiritu realm, but it is much more than that, it is infinte and you can do what every you want there, there are many interesting beings and ppl there to meet and talk with.
Now this is how I travel, but keep inmind there are several methods. I do it through meditation. First I start with relaxation, starting with my feet I tell the muscles to relax and slowly work my way up. As I move up my body I pull my consiousness up with it. Finally when Im done with relaxation, Im actually floating and by this time I am in my astral body. Now next I surround myself with whitelight, as a from of protection. Also, before you traverse the astral you need to "leave your problems behind". To do this I picture me takeing them and throwing them off a cliff and watch them fall out of sight. Now the astral has no set physical form. It is a place ruled by thought and emotion, the astral looks how you think it should. Now you can explore it that way, but another thing you can do is to travel in the here and now, while ur in the astral you can travel around this world, but you wont really be able to interact with it much....well i hope that helped you, if not just confuse you!
