hello all,
I was wondering do you believe in guardian angels and what are your experiences?
I recently got a book from a friend " an angel in your pocket" by Rosemary Ellen Guiley. It started me thinking. Since i consider myself a pagan i never gave angels a second thought...they belonged to the christian religions. But this book remembered me of the fact that angels are for everyone, and not bound by religions
So lately i'm thinking alot about angels and guess what is appearing in my daily spreads? Temperance wich shows a picture of a beautiful angel :)
Love and light

Well this is what I think about guardian angels. I personally think they arent just "angels" persay, but can also be other things. Such as a family member that has passed on, or a friend from another life. But just on angels, I personally dont think they have a set "physcal" form. Seeing as how they are entites of the astral, and the astral doesnt have a set physical form why should they? I personally think that an "angel" looks how you think it should, much like the astral. Thats my theory, lemme know what you think.

I agree with WhiteDragon: I don't really believe in angels as in "creatures with wings", but I do believe in guardian angels, which for me could be the spirits of people that have passed on. More like spirit guides I guess.

I believe we probably are assifgned an anhel guardian at birth, probably that angel watches over a few people at once, but then maybe its a 1 to 1 human/angel ratio. Still an angel is a different entity entirely than a departed spirit, just like a faerie is a different entity than either. we can have numerous guardian spirits as well as out angel, including animals, departed loved ones, faeries, elementals, dragons, whatwever :)

Hi all,
I see angels as entities of the light, for everyone. They watch over us and guard us. They appear as you wish them to, so mine will have wings and glow and yours may look like a departed loved one.
I am not sure if we will be angels once we cross over. My christian foundation says yes, but I still wonder..part of me feels they are God's army and protect us, thus we are seperate and always will be - not a bad thing I kinda like the idea of being a spirit guide and helping others.
blessings,
Cj

I know that I have Spirit guides and I know that one of them is my maternal grandmother who died several years before I was born.
I know this from experiences that I have had over the last few years but I would hesitate to call them Angels. I have seen several definitions of such spiritual beings but I don't think that I or anyone else is in a position to give a positive definition.
That being said 'Angels' as high levle spirits may well exist and provide some guardianship. As such I feel that they would not exist for followers of only one religious path but would be there for all.

I'm just beginning a study of Shamanism and, although I have yet to begin journeying, I'm looking forward to it so I can meet my spirit guide. Yesterday as I was reading Michael Harner's "The Way of the Shaman" it occurred to me that perhaps some of the power animals one meets on a "journey" could be interpreted as guardian angels. I really don't know. It's just interesting to speculate.

ever since I saw Christopher Walken in "The Prophecy", I try to stay away from angels. Just ask the Egyptians about their babies...

I do beleive that everyone has a guardian angel. This is what I beleive. Your guardian angel is a spirit that is more advanced than you are. They are there when you need them. They aren't angels per say. I also don't beleive in heaven and hell per say. I beleive in hells, as in places where evil spirits inhabit, and heaven as the place where the spirits of the most highest degree possible inhabit. That is why I feel that we live on this earth and many others, several differant life times. But yes, the thought that everyone has a certain being looking out for them, in times where we are not able to look out for ourselves, is a very comforting thought.

I know there are angels
When my husband and I were married, we foolishly thought that we could drive 3 hours after the wedding for our honeymoon. When we left the hall at about midnight, we realised that we should get a room because we were exhasted. But there was no rooms in the inn... so we kept driving.... it was dark, and my husband pulled the car over in a panic.."you drive" ... he must have been dozing off, and when he looked in the side view mirror, he saw a face looking at him. I believe that angel did catch his attention.
Also, I believe that religion is man made. What exist does.. put religion aside and go with your gut feeling.
