Past Lives or Soul Group

Do you believe we have past lives or are we part of a soul group. eg. if you look at a rose and all the petals and imagine you are one of the centre ones and the outside petals are part of the soul group who have already had an earth experience then what we think is a past life could be the memory within our soul group. Each of us having our own soul group - and only one in the group having a physical life at one time. This was put forward by a teacher at a spiritual day I was on recently. because I don't think of having a past life and having membership in a soul group as mutually exclusive. Have I misunderstood the question? Namaste, Debins. Sorry, I don't know how to move the thread.

Hi Debins Thanks for your interest in this subject. I think the teacher meant that if you have past lives then you have many lifetimes. But if you belong to a soul group you only have 1 lifetime. It can get a bit complicated can't it. I think I would prefer to have many lifetimes myself. I have always believed that we do. Love and Light

i believe in many lifetimes. i believe that we individuals but that we come from a collective group (being the god-goddess-all that is). when we aren't here.......we are joined together in a larger mass......but then we leave and come back here again to learn more lessons :D love and light, jade

That is the first time I've heard of the soul group theory. Thanks for the info. :) I've always believed in past lives. This (IMHO) makes more sense than the soul group theory.

Anyway, from how i see things work everone has many lives, but also everyone belongs to a soul family. There are 7 diffrent soul families. I cant think of all the names but when i remember, Ill post them.

I'm not sure what I believe in regard to reincarnation, if we would come back as individuals or a soul group. My question is, I've seen postings on being reincarnated and know some here believe we meet with our maker and make some key choices in how our next life will be. Some believe there are a group of "souls" or "beings", for lack of a better word, and I suppose these are like a unit of some type, or maybe a "soul family" as they decide who will come back as what. For example, one may need to learn to nurture, and so decide to be the Mother figure this time around, and so on. So I suppose my question is, do we come back alone or with the same people we are surrounded with in this life? God Bless, In love and light, Kismet

When my youngest sister was a child, she hadn't started kindergarden yet, and we all were talking at the dinner table. I don't recall all of the discussion, I only recall her telling our Mother that she must remember an inceident that had occured. When she was big and our Mom was little, like she had been an adult and our Mom a child in a past lifetime. I still don't know what to make of that, but wished to share.
