Ciao!

Do we have anyone (aside from me) studying and/or practicing Stregheria here? :)

divinerguy  02 Aug 2002
I don't study Stregeria personally, but we have a local shop here that is operated by Raven Grimassi.

Raven is arguably one of the most educated people about Strega, having come, I believe from a Strega family. He is well published on this subject, and you can find his books pretty much worldwide.

I've met Raven, and he seems to be a great guy. He was very helpful to me personally while I was at his shop.

If you'd like, message me and I'll get you the contact information for the shop.

Oh, that's fine, divinerguy. :)

I do know who Raven is. I have a collection of his books. I've spoken to him a few times (not in person though). My mentor is also an initiate (and attorney) of his clan. :D

I was just wondering if there are other Streghe around in this particular community.

P.S. But I do so envy you for having Raven's Loft Store nearby. :P

Rain  04 Aug 2002
what is that?

Strega  04 Aug 2002
Ciao Rain,

Stregheria is Italian Witchcraft.

It began in the 14th Century with the teachings of Aradia (Holy Strega) who brought about a revival of La Vecchia Religione (The Old Religion). Her teachings were based upon a much earlier system of beliefs, dating back to the pre-Etruscan Italians.

Stregheria is a worship of the Source of All Things (The Great Spirit) through the personification of the Goddess (Diana) and God (Dianus).

Hope that helps. :)

Are there any good books that you would recommend, I just love to deepen myself in things that I find interesting. :-)

:) thanks for that Strega :) I wrote them all down and can go now to browse in the library. I suppose there would be enough info on the subject on the net, but give me a good old book anyday :)
Reading too long on the net makes my eyes go all funny.

You're welcome. :)

I have 4 of these on my computer. And yes... reading too long on the 'puter does make my eyes go all funny... so I haven't exactly read those 4 files. I can't print them either, because they're TOO BIG! I'll just get the books in print when I get enough money. :D
