Good morning everyone!
My boyfriend is the type that doesn't beleive in UFO's, tarot, or anything else related to those types of things. Last night on his way home from the gym, he was driving on the highway and saw 3 UFO's hovering not too much higher than a tree. They were very bright white lights, and on the side they were blue lights going around it. He called me from his cell right away, and I was mad! I wish I could have seen them. He wasn't the only one driving on the highway, and he said that any other car within a mile could have seen them, so he'll look for the story in the paper today.
Anyway, I was wondering what your feelings are to this subject. Do you beleive or not. I absolutely beleive, I just wish I could see one.
Blessings,
Rain

UFO's by their very definition exist - their are countless sightings of flying objects which are unidentified.
You are adding another layer of meaning to the term and equating such a sighting with an extra terrestrial visitation.
Do the latter exist. I don't know, there are many sightings which cannot be explained and many people clearly honestly believe that they have seen ETs. One problem is that humans try to rationalise their sensory data - and therefore may 'see' what they believe to be there.
Personally I have little doubt that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe and quite possibly in our own galaxy. Whether such creatures visit us on a regular basis without making themselves known I have a little difficulty with. Especially given the huge distances involved and the need for Star Trek type warp drive. Nevertheless it could be the case.
We have had discussions about scepticism before on the forums, this is one area where I think we should be sceptical but keep an open mind to the possibility that we have been visited.

I am still sceptical about UFO's as I tend to believe only in things I have seen with my very eyes.
I do not believe that we are the only ones in the galaxy but very often there is a technical explantation for things which are often considered as UFO's.

Agreed, I believe that around 90%+ of UFOs are eventually linked to a quite mundane cause. Of the remaining unexplained phenomena I think we have to accept that the cause is still likely to be literally down to earth.
I would need considerable convincing about 'little green men' overhead but I don't rule it out entirely! - Probably due to too much Star Trek, Stargate, Issac Asimov, etc.

a man is at the gas station filling his tank when an space craft hovers down at the pump beside him.
a little green ailen jumps out and fills his tank.
the man watches in disbelief....he notices the letters UFO on the side of the craft...
finding the courage to ask the man says...
UFO, that means unidentified flying object right?
the ailen looks at the man and says....
No, unleaded fuel only

ROFLMAO.... Thank you for that joke Lunalafey :) hehehe, I'm going to be laughing all night thinking about that one. Sort of reminds me of when I was little and my grandma asked me did I know what PMS meant... I said, "'Period Might Start'?" :)

There is I suppose no reason to believe that extra-terrestrial beings have not visited our planet.
Perhaps they are with us all the time, and we do not recognise them.
But maybe not.
One question: does anyone know why one refers to them often as "green"? Is this from a book or a film?

There was another story in the paper about a month ago. There is an air force base (Andrew's AFB) close to where I live. The story said that there was an UFO, and 5 min. later 2 fighter air force planes were chasing it, and eventually, the UFO dissappeared out of sight. The story was on the front page of the Washington Post. More that 150 people saw the "chase."
I believe that there are other life forms out there in the universe, and I beleive that they visit us from time to time. They are obviously more advanced spiritually, moraly, and mentally, since we do not have the technology that they have. The Universe is eternal/un-ending. I see no reason why The Supreme Being would create only man, and leave the many planets of the Universe empty. To me, it sounds like a closed minded thought. Humans are not special, nor are we the only ones in the entire universe. There is plenty more where that came from.
Blessings,

I found the coolest example of this in a book about UFOs, a few years back. What it was was a picture of a 'flying saucer', drawn in the late 19th/early 20th C by someone who said they'd seen it.
The picture was of this cigar shaped balloon with search lights and a propellor on!
It really made me laugh. Whether there was a flying saucer or not there that day, I'm pretty sure that the artist just saw what they wanted to see!

Catlin please don't take this personally or the wrong way but do you actually "see" the air that you breathe in and out all the time?
Sometimes we tend to automatically turn away from the "unseen" or "occult" or the "unknown" only because it scares us and especially since we have no "control" over the situation. And if there is one thing that human beings do not like, it is having no control over a situation.
Just a different perspective of looking at things :D

Maybe, because inside we are in actual fact a little jealous of these beings that they have the technology to travel the way that they do, and we don't :D:D ( you know 'green' being the colour related to jealousy )

I've seen interesting lights in the sky, stars start to fall and then reverse or veer in an opposite direction and whatnot, but I'm not ready to embrace them as alien spacecraft.
When I get a visit from one of the Grays, however, I promise you guys will be the first to know. :)

I believe in UFOs and aliens.
It'd be mighty disheartening to think of all the galaxies and we the only living creatures.
I also see this issue being similar to your religious beliefs, it is taken on faith, although there are a lot of reports of lights in the sky and encounters for it to be questioned by me.
