how do you all deal with the energy when you are out in a crowds?
after spending the evening at the local fall fair i am soooo wiped out. i find the same thing happened to me after the healing circle i went to a few weeks ago. i felt exactly like this.
lethargic, my head hurts. almost a feeling like a hangover. (without the upset tummy part)
i used to wear stuff (stones etc) when i went out and i find that i stopped. i wonder if i should start again. what do you all do?

first, i don't like crowds, thats why i live in a village, far away from that. i have been there, its tiring.
i can go out and have a good time, i do this, i only go when i am in the mood, meaning i can have a good time socialising and dont want to be on my own or with few ppl. if i have had it i leave. works fine for me. sometimes that means i leave in a short time, sometimes i stay longer.
i dont use stones or things, just i listen to how i feel and what i need at that time. meaning if there is a fair and i am not in the right mood i dont go.

If I feel Im being overcharged with energy I try and stop somewhere once in awhile and ground it by sending it out through my feet. Hematite also helps.

i didn't feel wiped out of energy when i was there and i wanted to be there.
in the case of the energy (healing) circle i certainly wanted to leave. it was way to much energy and we didn't channel it anywhere ......... i didn't enjoy it.
but at the fair last night, i wanted to be there (although without kids i wouldn't have) and i stayed until i was done and we came home.
hmmm, umbrae, i'm writing it on a sticky note as we speak!
i was thinking that perhaps i need to make myself another little pouch for stones and wear it when i go out to events. what stones does everyone recommend. i like obsidian, but how about stones other than grounding ones?

Jade: I think the following stones for their colors & qualities may be helpful to ye:
Red jasper balances the gastrointestinal.
Turquoise relieves stress; promotes healing.
Rhodochrosite is known as a "rescue" stone; balances the energies especially after trauma. Would be good as a pendant.
Clear crystal good for general healing & clarity.

HI Jade I use essentail oils and I tend to feel weird in crowds at times depending on the noise etc. I use Eucalyptus as it helps to tone down extra energy coming from others. Lavender is also good. I keep grounding stones if it gets real bad such as hematite. I don't think I spelled that right lol! Also its good to learn how to ground it out and shield. I am able to at this point on my path to shield out the noise and energies I pick up. The thing thats really weird is people tend to be drawn to where ever I go to get away! I went to the bookstore today and it was quite crowded but no one in new age section as soon as I started looking like 4 people showed up! then I went to the bathroom 4 people walked in right after me! I find this amusing at times. Its like please get away most of the time they do its puzzling still.

I have the same problem. I used to hate going anywhere, especially during the holidays. I have a tendancy to pick up on the emotions of others. I asked a friend of mine, and he suggested I imagine that the energy that is coming at me is sort of brown. I open up my receiving hand and take the energy into myself, and imagine it being cleansed of all impurities, then I send it back out of myself as a white light with my sending hand. This helps me to get control of the energy.
It took me a while to remember to do this when I'm out, but it helps a lot.
I hope this helps.
