Mabon 2002 = Sabbat + Esbat?

I hope no other thread was started about this and I did not notice. HEY! Today is the Equinox. No need to say I'll do nothing, I have not prepared anything, and it's not a good moment at home, so I'd better shut up and go with inner celebrations and meditation in my Astral place. But today it's also Full Moon. As soon as I woke up I knew there would be grief for me today, and it would be a new experience anyway. I have no idea what's gonna happen - I only just woke up, espletad some physiologic functions, and sat to AT to come and post about this. Are such times common ones? Does it happen often? I never heard about Sabbats and Esbats occuring the same day. Is it a special occasion? Should there be particular purposes, rituals and practices? Has it got a special meaning apart from the astronomic event of Sun-Earth-Moon line on the equinox? Probably I just never noticed something that is common in the lesser sabbats? :confused: Thank you for any input, reply, or contribution whatsoever...

Thanks for posting this thread. I have to admit that I was also struck by the fact that it was a Sabbat and an Esbat the same day. I took profit of it and started a kind of astral travel and got much more effect than usually. I really felt how body and soul separated. There was a silver thread emerging from my solar plexus and getting thinner and thinner the wider my soul left. I have never seen this silver thread before. I usually leave my body without seeing it. I really felt spent after this "trip" but it was not unpleasant. In the future, I will keep much more attention to times of Sabbat and Esbat on the same day.
