Reiki 1 this weekend

Hi, I`ve got my 1st Reiki attunement coming up this weekend. I`m very excited about it although I don`t really know what to expect and I`m a tad worried that I won`t `get` it. Hopefully I`ll be joining the Reiki study group soon. Blessings Crystalmynx xx

One bit of advice I will share with you, having received my first attunement this past weekend. Let go of your expectations and just let it be what it will. The changes may be very subtle, and if you expect thunder and lightning, you may miss what actually does happen! I know, cuz I almost made that mistake myself. Also don't worry whether you feel the "right" things or not, of if you feel the same as the other people at the course. The other people on my course spoke a lot about feeling warm and cool energies, but for me it wasn't like that, I feel more of a vibration, or something... (very hard to describe! ;)) For you it may be altogether a different sensation, but don't you believe for a second that it's something wrong! I wish you all the best! With light and love, Jenny :)

i completely agree with jenny! this is about trust. trusting that you are being attuned. trusting your master/teacher. trusting that this is for your greatest good. relax and enjoy! this is the truely the first day of the rest of your life!!! love jade

I got my attunement doen a couple weeks ago..Didn't feel a thing..Thats ok..I did TRUST that i got it..and I did..so don't worry..You will get it...

I never felt anything during my attunements, but I certainly did feel the difference afterwards! I did my reiki I attunement with a group of about 8 people, and we started practising on each other with the hand positions even before we were attuned. That way, we could sense the difference before and after the attunement. Before the attunement, I hardly felt anything, but after I could clearly feel the energy flowing. Same with my reiki II attunement: I didn't feel anything during the attunement, but afterwards I felt how the energy was flowing much more strongly than before. And, like Jenny-Li said, the feeling can be different for everyone. I mostly feel it as warmth, sometimes even heat, but sometimes it's just a subtle tingling. Just enjoy it!! :)
