Bright Blessings-
Do we have anyone (aside from me) studying and/or practicing Wicca here? And what tradition do you fallow...
Love,

Yes, but I follow a relatively new path, Christian Wicca. But I was a Wiccan of the Cunningham sort for 2 years before coming to this path, so I know much about the more general forms of Wicca as well

Somewhere along my aeclectic spiritual journey I was a solitary Wiccan, a student of Starhawk & Cunningham's work in particular for 4-5 years.

Another Eclectic on Aeclectic. I like many different paths, but I have studied with a Wiccan teacher before.
I just call my path Dasha- as in a Dasha this, and a Dasha that.....

Well I'm also an Eclectic Wiccan or Witch...!!!...
I was catholic but a couple of years ago I realized that it wasn’t making me happy so I decided to start searching for my truth and eventually I found Wicca, as you can imagine in my country Wicca is almost a taboo because is considered satanic (because of the misconceptions), so was a little bit difficult to find others walking the same path as me.
Now I'm following the Universal Eclectic Wicca, taking classes and reading a lot...
I'm very happy to have found this great community with people open minded....!!!!....
Bright Blessings...!!
Love,
Analisa
P.S.: Liliana can you explain me what exactly is and for what stands the Christian Wicca?

hi
i'm a combo of beliefs. brought up christain and i expanded my reading thru college and thru a 12 step program...i've incorporated wicca, buddhism into my spiritual make up.
what happened at the beginning of the 2002, i've found that much of what is done in the christain service/mass was once PAGAN or wiccan in origin just christainized cause the men didn't like the women being in charge, women held the religious power in ancient times.and since 9/11 the balance of female/male needs to be recognized as essential to the existence of the human race...so i stopped going to church, i miss some families who give me the physical contact that humans crave. might so going back but i like the feeling of just being w/the god/goddess. i practice more random acts of kindness in the light than i ever have going to church for 38 yrs. i have more support and acceptance here than i did there...
here's something that bothers me...quickly a woman at the gym i work at vehemently rejected harry potter because a good christain shouldn't stand for sorcery...wanted to say well what do you think Jesus was? i haven't been able to find this info but i feel that he went away after his bahmiztfah (sorry for spelling) to study the religions of the world. including wiccan...he can walk on water, feed the multitudes w/just a few loaves of bread anda basket of fish...how can he do this but be a wizard?? i believe in God and Jesus did die on the cross but i'm seeing him more as a prophet than the Messiah. anyway, this woman's hatred for pagan and other religions outside her faith was incredible. her negative shot out from her soul into mine and i almost fell backwards. it was really strong...can i say that it felt more evil than loving. being a christian is to be loving and accepting of others..and an american? so i kept my mouth shut. now i know that i need to send a little healing light to help her see the way...she won't know what hit her but hopefuly w/the practice i've been getting here, she'll feel lighter and know that she's walking in the light of love not hate.
thank Goddess i found this thread. it happened last night and i need validation that it's ok to believe in what i believe in. plus a little energy...she sapped it out of me. plus i had fun playing last night. :) haven't gone out in a while.
blessed be!

Ask anyone who considers themselves a Chistian Wiccan what one is and you are likely to get 1000 answers, I made a post on it once let me see if i can find it and bump it up.
As to Harry Potter, my husbands Chrisitan group at college is watching it tonight and discussing. I love thre movie and seen it probably going on 100 times heh. Also, notice they are celebrating CHRISTMAS in the movie, not Yule, hence Christians. duh.

thanks Liliana...i never heard of harry potter until the movie came out. maybe i'll rent it this weekend. i think the non accepting christain should see it as pure fantasy rather than fact. and yeah. DUH - Yule...vs "Christ"mas..HELLO! :D
