Do you believe itīs all illusion?

Hey folks ... How are you ?...Hope youīre all fine!!! Well...many religions say life is illusion...everything is just illusion, and that we have to stop seeing this illusion in order to live the real life and achieve spiritual enlightment... Maybe they are right...I believe life is illusion because we let our desires and needs rule our lives...therefore, we donīt pay attention to real objectives in our lives...we make life so complex, when itīs actually so simple... We could reach a great metaphysic level in this discussion, really...but, what īs the point for that?...Does everything in the existence need to be so mysterious and strange to us??? What do you think of that??? Is everything really just illusion?

If you define an illusion as something which isn't REAL, than life is an ilusion because with the senses we are given as a species we cannot detect everything. We only get a glimpse of what the reality would look like to a creature who posesses all possible senses. On the other hand, we can only define what is real by our senses. Even though they might show show us an illusion of what is real, they are the only thing thats real to us. Life as we know and feel it, is real to us. You can treat it like an illusion and say that what happens in it is not importand because it doesn't happen in the real reality, but we still have no choice but to live in this so called illusion and that makes it real. The way I see it we have to live in both our own, human, realty and the true reality. But we can not begin to understand the latter... our senses and minds limit us to live in our human reality. Without those limits, everything would be possible and that would drive us mad.

I believe there is some truth to this. There are a lot of people, especially in the western world, who are so wrapped up in their own life, that they forget about the more important things in life. They worry about how to get another promotion in their job, about their car, the mortgage, the Christmas shopping etc. But they don't realise what a luxury it is to just have to worry about these issues. And: are they happy?? A lot of them aren't, because they are never satisfied and they don't realise what a good life they have, not to have to worry about food, or a roof over their head, or a regular income. I think you could say that for them, life is an illusion, because they seem to be missing the point... Oh, and a happy birthday and have a great day! :)

Happy birthday !!!!!! My simple thoughts on a very complex issue: In a sense it is an illusion and some call it the 3D game. Why is it an illusion? Because when a soul reincarnates it chooses to move to a low frequency and exist in the third dimension. Are there other dimension? yes. But this is too long to explain. When the soul incarnates or reincarnates in this low frequency it everything move very slowly is very sluggish. But this frequency is the only one of its nature that enable experiences such as emotions. It feels real ok, our lives feel real and they are real but in this dimension it is only a matter of perception everyone perceives things in a different way, therefore your reality is only yours and others have other realities. A human being is made of organic matter and energy matter, the organic dies the energies lives for ever. The energy is the core and that energy is trying to experience other frequencies on the place earth, but the plane earth is not a reality for the energy only a way to grow and when the organic matter dies/finishes its life cycle the energy return to its REAL form. But there are many, many reasons why it is an illusion, countless so I really havent even touched the subject yet so..... My take.. Regardless of it being an illusion or not.. As others have said..we are still apart of this world So we need to find a balance. Between mundane and spiritual. Reality and Illusion..or vice versa.. We will i dont think ever be always balanced..That would be not being human at all..We will always tilt this way and that..We work with what we have..and enjoy what we have..and why we are here.

What if.......spirituality was the illusion????????? That is my only fear, not that life is illusion, but that life is all there is. Don't get me wrong, I am a deeply spiritual person with a very strong belief system but, being rational too, what if......I'm wrong? allibee

Well, then, if you are correct, and spirituality IS an illusion, and you'd never know anyway (if life is all there is), than what's the harm? If life is all there is, then it really doesn't matter what you believe. Living with the 'illusion' of spirituality as a reality is more connected, don't you think? But what if...just before the end, the lights go out, you are judged by all the forces that no longer exist, regarding your belief system, and by choosing the wrong one, you get some sort of special prize or gift before you're blasted off into oblivion?

hehehe, I get your meaning. No, it cannot harm to believe, can it. It is better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all... though not always and easy ethos to follow, it is better than no ethos at all. It is better to experience the joy and the pain, than not to believe in the opportunity at all. Thank you Ophiel allibee
