Hi all,
I had an interesting experience the other day and I wanted to share it with all of you. Just before I went to sleep, I believe I met one of my spirit guides! I had a vision of a native American with very spiked hair. I’m not sure but I believe he was an Iroquois. He said his name is Red Feather. He was holding an animal that I at first thought was a duck but when I looked again it was a goose but then Red Feather let it loose and it was a pheasant and then it turned into a chicken. I was really puzzled by this changing bird and the vision ended. I haven’t been able to contact Red Feather since then. This is the first time I have ever had any contact with my spirit guide and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas about the changing bird or how I can contact Red Feather again. I always appreciate all of your comments. Thanks.

Hi Raeanne,
The changing birds may be an inner aspect of yourself - something Red Feather is trying to tell you without speaking words to you. What might be useful is to either get yourself a native deck of animal cards and find out what each bird means and then those meanings might tell you a story. Four birds; changing seasons (4 seasons), states of consciousness - perhaps. Try to find something on the internet about animal totems and look up each of these birds.
If you are experienced at meditation you should be able to contact him again. Holding a crystal while meditating can raise your consciousness in order to connect with his. I'd be interested to know how things go.

The birds in your vision intrigued me. I found a website on bird totems.
Duck - mothering energy (female); coping with stress (male).
Goose - safe return - love of
Pheasant - family/home, fertility, sexuality
Chicken - fertility/sacrafice
How do those fit into your life?
Don't forget to look for a set of Medicine cards (animal cards) too.

hi everyone! nice to meet you, this is one of my first posts!
reanne that sounds like an exciting experience!! lucky you! spirit beings often visit us before or after our dreams, when we are in the waking twilight, because at this phase we are not committed fully to the conscious, questioning, fearful midn which kills so many of our experiences in waking consciousness. We are still half in the fluid, languid, beautiful world of dreamscape, and akashic planes, and it is easy for them to reach us in a way we will remember.
I had a very powerful experience with an American Indian in meditation. We had created an amethyst healing pool in the centre of the room, and out of it rose an elder. He came to me, bearing a long stick in his right hand. He had a headdress of many feathers, from different birds, and he had beads in his long dark hair which was ties behind his head. He wore a skirt type thing made of deerskin. With him came this incredible, primal drumbeat, which resonated within my very core, and he began singing this tune in no particular language, just vowels and sounds. He erformed this dance, and it was just amazing. Then he gave me this healing pouch full of herbs and crystals, and left. No words of wisdom but a profoundly moving experience.....
To meet Red Feather again, go into a meditation around the same time you met him last time. Just relax and let go. Take yourself to a sacred inner space, and spend time creating and noticing the colours, flowers, weather, smells, feelings, any animals around or particular features like bodies of water, gates, caves, whatever is there. Imagine a brilliant being of light floating towards you, and invite it into your sacred space, knowing that it is Red Feather. Trust that He wants to meet and work with you, because he is your spirit guide after all and it's his job right now! See Red Feather walking towards you, welcome him, embrace him or whatever, then have a conversation with him.
Alternatively. you could just go into a meditation, picture the image of Red Feather in your mind, ask him to come to you, and just converse with him like that.
Good luck! Enjoy!

Hi all,
New Years Day I was a bit bored so I went outside for a walk around the yard. Guess what I found in my yard! A cardinal's feather! Red Feather! Isn't that cool! I have seen cardinals in my yard since I moved here ten years ago but I have never found a cardinal's feather before. I think this is a very good sign.
