. . . to Me from a Querent!!!
An Irish Blessing
Always remember to forget
The things that made you sad.
But never forget to remember
The things that made you glad.
Always remember to forget
The friends that proved untrue.
But don't forget to remember
Those who have stuck by you.
Always remember to forget
The troubles that came your way.
But never forget to remember
The blessings that come each day.
(thought mayhap i might "owe ya" from the "other post," earlier, in the day regarding that "other" thing!!!)

zander770,
I may not be Irish, but I love the blessing. If you live by the blessing, you are sure to live to be a very merry elder...unlike those who remember only the sad and hurtful in their lives..
THANKS FOR SHARING.

Thanks for that beautiful piece Zander! Here's another Irish blessing, which I find particularly beautiful:
'May the road rise to meet your feet,
May the wind be always at your back,
May your fields ever increase,
And, until we meet again,
May the Lord/Goddess cradle you in the palm of his/her hand.

If I may be just a bit frivolous --
May you be in Heaven an hour before the devil knows you're dead!
