I'm going to accept the fact that there are people who think i'm fun to be with I'm going to accept the fact that there are people who like to be with me I'm going to accept the fact that there are people who love me I'm going to accept the fact that i have long curly hair and no longer hide it in a braid I'm going to accept my body and see it as beautiful no longer compair it with tv babes And above all i'm going to love myself for who i am and not for what i'm going to be in the future (Exept from my journal clumsely trancelated in english)

[applause] That's a great decision, and I doubt you will ever regret it! I've done that too once, and though it's "just" a shift in mind, and in one's self-image - it's amazing how it helps things to "fall into place". I agree with sparrowspirit, that accepting ourselves is a way of showing trust in God, the Universe and the being of everything. And that trust will come back to you, I promise! That really is wonderful Maan! It took me years before I could accept any of those things, but now, two years later, I am so pleased that I finally did! I found good things happening more often to me, and more people wanting to spend time with me... Just me accepting all those things made me instantly a better person. Kudos! Kiama

Congratulations for being able to take this step, Maan. It is something I am working towards myself, and hopefully I will be there soon. It's nice and encouraging to see someone else has the courage to do this, and to announce it to everyone here! :)
