I hunted down other threads..and because of my Inept search skills i could not find a thread dedicated to exclusively this subject...
Continiuing from the Pendulum thread..
In the book:
It says when doing color healing....Always start with white and end with white..this balances the colors out..that way one color does not aggervate the condition....I have done healing both ways (on myself only) and found that the white does make it more effective.
sometimes i will infuse yellow into someones aura..this gives them a small lift...enough to cope..and help deal with what is going on...I dont have many people to practice on ..so i have not done to much...I used a light blue on my toothpain to cool it...that made a difference..the tooth felt much better....I use reiki with my color healing..I feel reiki enhances everything and vice versa...I dont send colors to people much..Unless they let me experiement on them...or if it does intuitively pop up..cuz i dont want to aggervate the condition...once and awhile...my reiki send turns a color and i just let it flow...(making sure it follows with white)..

Yes...I can relate to sending/channeling color...my husband and I have been Johrei channels for over 8 years now...the energy channeled during Johrei is the white/clear light...white/clear light breaks down into all the colors of the visible spectrum...the clear light...goes even further...it's often described as Divine Light...but during channeling/healing I have seen it change from white/clear to many other colors...
part of the process of becomming a Johrei channel is learning to clear your channel and open to the flow of divine energy/light...and then send/direct...share it with others in a paired situation...it clears you and raises your vibration as it flows through you...to the other...very similar to Reiki (I have many friends who practice Reiki and have recieved treatments...many of the Johrei channels are Reiki channels also...)
the choice of the necessary/benificial/color/energy sent is made from the Divine level...and as channels we just let it flow...these sister healing systems came out of Japan at approximately the same time and are only rediscoverys of a much older fundamental healing energy we all have access to...Reiki focuses on the physical level first and Johrei focuses on the spiritual level first...but they are both complete systems and able to interpenatrate all levels...I have a friend who is a channel for Mari-el energy and she describes it in much the same way but focusing on the emotional level first...
a friend who is at master level uses her Reiki with crystals in healing...and I often combine Johrei with crystal healing...they are such perfect tools to use together and I enter that consious trance state very easily when using Johrei which allows higher guidance to assist...a friend who trained with Native American healers, said one of her teachers also advised her to start and end with the white/clear energy/color/light...which makes alot of sense...a rebalancing of the full spectrum...

Ravenal...Please feel free to put in a thread..about crystal healing..it has been touched upon in many different threads..but never in depth...I am learning about crystal healing....and i would love more info on your jo something or other..and hwo i can do it too...fascinateing stuff!!
I do know..that the colors in yiour house can affect your moods...Like black would be a bit oppressive...or NO color on the walls lol..like my house is not painted..just drywall..very ugly..I dont like it..I am fond of black to wear..but not as paint on walls...the sun is very renewing...(besides teh vitamin content) i think the yellow..just opens you up.

Color of energy can make such a difference. There was a time last year where I was doing energy work on our cat (FIV positive, and diabetic). He's an energy sponge--I couldn't meditate without him crawling up into my lap, flopping over upside down & literally PULLING all he could so I had to keep grounded the entire time. He started out needing white energy, then green, then moved to red/pink. If I tried any other colors he'd grumble & get up & leave. He got so when he needed something he'd come, lay down next to me & suddenly I felt as if the whole room dropped 5 degrees in temp, he was sucking it out that fast.
A healer friend tried working with him, but didn't ask what color he wanted, just tried gold or a broad band range & he accepted what he could pull, but when she tried directing it into him he practically flew off the table.
He's much better now, but I'd gotten to the point of literally asking what color he needed, then adjusting it for him, as the only way to keep his vampiric pulling from wearing me out too much. I don't begrudge the energy he needed, just wanted to get grounded & centered first. He had a lot of healing he needed to get done first (injuries from a car strike he got before we took him in, among them.) We have a much healthier cat in him now, so it did work. But it was the first time that the use of color was really impressed on me as being necessary for certain things.

Nice story about your cat...HudsonGray...he's lucky to have you...We presently share our lives with 4 Greyhounds and 3 Norwegian Forrest Cats...We got started in healing because we'd been working very closely with a Greyhound Rescue Group and knew a spiritual as well as a physical solution was needed to help these dogs...only 5% of the population is rescued...the other 95 % are carelessly and inhumanely destroyed...it's obscene...and the numbers bred only to be destroyed each and every year is staggering...the industry admits to over 50,000 and it's really much more...these animals are terribly abused during their short racing careers and left with physical and spiritual injuries...they often have nightmares for years...
Johrei channels white/clear light which includes all the colors in the spectrum so it can and often does seperate into others during it's use...the whole room would light up and often at the beginning a dog would whimper and cry out...the light/energy would shift colors and the dog would get calmer and sometimes the color would change again...it started out as clear/white and sometimes would end that way...greens... blues...violets were commom and often a peachy gold...soft colors and gentle but powerful energy...it always put them to sleep within 10 minutes or less...it was very helpful during their recovery from surgery and helped speed the healing of infections and broken bones...my dogs all crowd around and try to get into the light whenever we do this type of healing...
I had a conversation with a Barbara Brennan Hands of Light graduate about choosing colors to channel versus letting those choices be made at higher levels or just letting it flow and trust it was for the best...during her 4 years of training she'd had much more healing experience then I at the time and I valued her insight...she said whatever was needed would be pulled through...and the key was for the channel to be grounded enough to be able to handle all of the light/energy vibration...she had been taught techniques to ground very deeply into the Earths core/center/heart...
in crystal healing...the most important stones are the grounding stones...the energy bodys separate if there is no grounding...at head and feet...and often elsewhere as well...grounding stones need to be placed...here more is better because the healing may not be permanent or integrated on all levels if the body is ungrounded...the different colored crystals and stones impart their colors into the healing and clear quartz contains all the colors as does white/clear light...you can easily choose to send any color through clear quartz and it focuses and ampilifies that vibration and your intentions...
I checked out your Scottish witch friends site and it reminded me of somethings I do and of my Scottish Druid friend as well...nice talking to all... I really enjoy the sharing and it still amazes me to hear from people all over the planet...bless this internet...and this site...Aeclectic.Tarot...bless us all...
