I'd like opinions on an image I did of my Spirit guides. Delilah and Andrastre. I'm so proud of it. Andras always aprears to me as a rabbit even though I know he is far more powerful than that. Delilah used to seem very dark to me but when I did the picture she had began to loose that and be very motherly.

:-D I love photoshop :)

Feel free to look at my other art too ((shameless plug))

Fatham,

I think everyone is too busy looking at your drawings to make comments...I LOVE YOUR ARTWORK....

The image of your guides is breathtaking, though the rabbit is a small - if you hadn't said anything I would have thought it was one of Delilah familiars.

When I see my guides I see an animal that represents them and then a human form. My guide Denis is represented by a crow (my messanger). when I asked him to show himself, he came to me as a younger man with shoulder length redish brown hair (very nice looking).

Just because I want to see another drawing..hehe...

Ask Andrastre to show him/herself to you and see if you get more than just the rabbit. I would love to see what you get.

AND.....

According to my Knowledge Cards (animal Spirits) the rabbit symbology is Power, Abundance, Heroism, Seasons and Cycle of life.

Blessings,

CJ

Do you see your guides through meditation or in dreams? I have yet to see any of my guides and how did you find out their names?

Fatham....you're guides are beautiful

fatham  20 Feb 2003
When I first started working with Andras he was called Solus after one of the fairy oracle cards someone drew for him. Then I finnally asked for his true name and I got And...? I thought Andrew but that didn't sound right. I was reading Oak Ash and Thorn at the time and I was compelled to look in the back to maybe find his name. I found Andrastre, Andras, etc. It fit. Especially since that being in the lore was symboloized as a rabbit.

Delilah I knew was there but didn't know much about for a long time until it occured to me that she was a middle eastern persona. Possibly a gypsy.

My Nicholas I never did a picture of and he left me at the beginning of the school year. I know there is another lady but I havn't gotten to talk with her much.

I meet them mostly through meditation or just thinking and things occur to me through them. I'm not as close to my guides as others, like my boyfriend's Ling, who talks to him all the time. I don't get words as much as he does, just feelings and ideas.

Just gorgeous work! The bottom angel reminds me of the Queen of Pentacles, cuddling her rabbit.

GORGEOUS!!!! I hope they continue to help and enrich your life so beautifully!

It's amazing! It's great that you can visualize you guides on paper... I wish I could do that (especially with the blank 'Guide' card coming with the Faeries' Oracle... :S).

Nice job!

fatham  21 Feb 2003
Yeah. I wish I could firgire out how to put that picture on that card :(. It would be so awsome. :D

You are very talented artist!! That is the sweetest, most loving drawing!! It definately comes from the heart!

I "feel" my spirit guides as well mostly. The only one I really met was Jaguar that I could confirm! She is my power animal and lifetime spirit guide. I never expected to have an animal spirit guide before! I first saw her on a journal in a card store, then all over my Mother in law's house, then in a dream she came to me with a wounded paw, which later I found out through Mayan Mythology that the Jaguar is the wounded healer and in that Myth, the Jaguar was taught to respect humans by having it's paw wounded. Jaguar also made me buy a stuffed version of her in a department store! I also asked in meditation for my spirit guide and there she came around the bushes and stood by my side. I go with feelings and divine synchronicities set up by my guides. Our lovely napaea here on the board also did a past life reading for me and channelled Jaguar in that reading and just confirmed so many things for me.

Sorry to ramble! But I've learned to accept that is how my guides communicate with me. I am empathic mostly so it is more natural for me! Dreams and divine coincidences. I've learned much that way. Just ask the universe if you need help in anything and they will send you a guide! In fact, just lately, Goddess Athena sent me Pegasus to help me with inspiration and creativity, which I had begged for a while now! I didn't even expect a Pegasus totem would come to me either! The inspiration coming from Pegasus is just incredible!!! I can barely keep up! :)

Hope this helps someone with meeting their spirit guides!!

I've had a thing for rabbits since I was little. Every year for easter I got a bunny and I had 18 of them at one time! I loved them. It was so much fun to have so many rabbits. I was really dissapointed when my mom noticed how many I had and decided to stop giving me rabbits and gave me a chick one year instead :'(

I'm embracing the rabbitness of Andras completely. I hope that my boyfriend will get me a tattoo for my birthday this year of a celtic knot with rabbits. Soooo much fun! :D

Musie  22 Feb 2003
How neat to have a rabbit as a power animal/totem/spirit guide! I find it interesting that you want a Celtic knot with a rabbit. I'm not a 100% but isn't there a Celtic Goddess that has a rabbit as her sacred animal? Ostara or Bridget? Could be something there for you. You may want to look into it.

Thank you for sharing your stories with us :)

Firstly, I LOVE your artwork, esp. the pics of Pir... And I reall liked the outfit you did for her in the first one! (I was sitting htere thinking, 'gotta get me that outfit!')

Secondly, your spirit guide being a small rabbit isn't too bad at all! Ever seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail? Well, the cute small rabbit in that... Which ends up ripping peoples' throats out. Never underestimate bunnies! *Kiama sings 'It must be BUNNIES*

Seriously thouhg, my boyfriend has Spirit Protectors, a bit like Guides, but which protect ihm whenever he's in danger or feeling attacked... They're butterflies. When he told me I laughed... How on Earth can butterflies protect anybody? Then he described wat they do when he feels attacked.. They swarm around him, obliteraing him from anybody's vision! Yay for butterflies!

Small and unexpected, but very very effective.

:D

That's Delilah's symbol. Yellow butterflies. Of course I usually only see them in the summer ;) but they're there when I think about her.

And I ALWAYS see a rabbit when I'm doing something right. When I left mid-night to go see Ben there were rabbits in my yard and in his when I got there! And when I dropped chior I saw him on campus right after I told the Prof I was going to drop. He was telling me it was right, probably because I would not have been involved in out Ren Fair with that class!

Guides are great things especially if you know how they speak to you. I hope that everyone figures their surrounding spirits out.

Bridghet has the hare/rabbit for sacred animal. The goddess Ostara in Greek myth transformed a nesting bird into a rabbit or hare when the hunter Orion stepped on her(the birds´) nest, crushing her eggs. You can see the hare in the sky under Orion.

Try looking at groups.yahoo.com/faeryoracle ... The files there include a way to do that. Good luck!
