The very first timne you use a set of tarot. You open the gates. That gate gives you a gate master who helps you read your cards. I have a gate master who i have never heard of. I do know his name is Edith.

That's a new one on me too. It would seem to imply that it could happen for Oracle cards and runes too. I'm not sure I'd buy into that one. Cards are a connection, yes, but not directly to the spiritual. Maybe she believed so, but this isn't something mentioned on any bulletin board discussion group that I've been with. Soon as you break the cellophane wrapping? Or first reading? Naw. I don't think I believe that.

We go with what we sense, with where we are in our relationship with Spirit. If you have a Guide named Edith, that is helpful and supportive, that is wonderful. Teachers, however, need to be careful about the 'shoulds' they pass on. For your teacher, that may be true. Choice, however, is a key component to Free Will. Edith sounds like a nice pal. I have Guides and They talk to me about many things, including Tarot, if I ask.

Your spiritual to. I would love to learn how to tell my fortune through a pendulum. My teacher is great and he quides me to the right decks. I have 10 guides in total and they all care for me. I beleive in spirits but i never thought all this excisted till one day i woke and found out i could heal. Nice to kknow there is a like of me

Did you read the post I wrote in your other thread? I question some of the advice you've been given by the "high spiritualist" friend; the one with 20 years experience. Sometimes, we develop confusion when we become entangled with other people's beliefs... I put some questions in that post than may help you get a different perspective... Blessings....

Amythist, I too would question some of the things you're being told, whether by spirit or person. Opinion can be stated as 'fact' when it's only, in fact, just opinion. You need to keep your mind open to be receptive--no matter what source you're getting your information from. The world fluctuates and changes too much to set some things in stone so early in life.

Hi Amythist! (PS, I do like your new name!) Anyway, back to the thread... Some friendly advice... It is good to get other peoples' opinions about things, however, when we have got their opinions, it is important we question that belief and ask whether it is viable, truly what we believe in, etc etc... If a Catholic came to you and told you Satan existed and you were going to Hell the moment you opened a deck of Tarot cards, would you take that on board and believe it immediately? If Gaunilo of Marmoutier came up to you and said, 'Look, there is this perfect island, more perfect than any other island ever...' would you believe in that perfect island? It is wonderful that you are able to talk to other people about Tarot and spirituality, but life is meant to be lived by you. :D That's half the fun of it my friend! Once you find out what others think about Tarot and spirituality, think about it a while, and contemplate whether or not that belief is really 'yours'. Now, on the nature of teachers/spirit guides who teach you... It is nice that you have guides, but think about that term for a second... 'Guide'. As I said previously, life is YOURS to live, YOURS to try and figure out, and whilst guides can be a good thing, it is always a danger that we start depending on them too much... We forget to learn things for ourselves, and instead just do what they tell us too. Please do not fall into this trap! Life is a pretty wonderful thing, with so much out there for us to learn, research, enjoy, and find out about... Every now and then, we need to take a step away from our guides and teachers, be they physical or spiritual, and explore things for ourselves... A bit like the Fool in the Major Arcana! :D Kiama

Edith? How you get to know his name? The first time i actually used a real full Tarot Deck is from a friend. A brand new Tarot Deck and i used it. My friend and i bought it together. How!? ~>,<~

I contact spirits all the time. I know all 10 of my guides. Edith, mickey, tigger, joline fiver angria, morine, and i cant remember the other right now. As i am new to this myself, i learnt how to conntact them through a pendulum and i know all the different ways it swings and what them ways mean. Thats really how i can contact guides for anyone but it takes alot of time and energy.

I know what is true due to conacting spirits silently and in side my mind i use a pendulum every way it turns or every way it moves i know what that spirit is telling. I use 13 differnt pendulums and i got a new 1 today a very rare one. I hear then walking and i hear them dropping my property on the floor of a night where they walk around my room and touch things. Luckily nothing as been broken yet. Today something feel on the floor and i found it by the sink? strange but true I used the thing that feel on the floor to find out how it got by the sink and my mum told me it was by the sink. Thats how i know they are around. I hear my spirit dog walking around the house and things like that the voices aere not in my head even though i am a sitsofrenic

Sounds like you may be in tune with some 'devilish' spirits. I hope you have some human contact to check these things out with. When we open ourselves up to spirits, that is just what we get. I find that weak, harmful spirits are highly alert to humans who are open. Please, be careful. Not all spirits are kind and for our Highest Good. It is tempting to honor their presence, simply because some 'one' responded. but not all spirits are helpful..... Some can be quite dangerous, in fact. Personally, I would encourage you to put the pendulums down for a while and keep things very simple. It sounds like you are pulling in too much outside energy. Close the door for a while and focus on playing here on Earth. Play with humans for a while. Get grounded. Just suggestions, but I am concerned.

I had my house blessed the other day. I dont always contact them i havent for a while. I am very caught up in my spiritual work but i like it. I have checked regularly for dark spirits and i havent around me cos i do check just after magic. ! thing i do know is every night i go to bed i see a scythe. In one of my cards it meabs an arument so i am very careful when i see that scythe. dont worry i do know what i am going. I hhave alot of grounding stones when i do my spiritual work

amythist. i have post traumatic stress disorder. sometimes i hear sounds that aren't really there. they are part of what are called flashbacks. it can, at times be difficult if not impossible, to tell what is real and what is in my head. you mentioned that you are schizophrenic, how do you know when what you are seeing or hearing is real and not the illness?
