Do spirits comfort you

Of a night when there is no one around i sometimes feel lonely and sad. I never feel alone of a night before i go to bed but i know that my spirits lie to me when i contact them because they are trying to proect my feelings. I never sleep with a deck of tarot but i sleep with protection under my pillow. I was just wondering everynight before i go to bed is it my spirits comforting me to heal my sadness and lonelyness. just incase you cant tell i am very insecure. They help me with insecureity Or is just me thinking they help me.

as someone who does believe we have spirit guides and teachers, i believe that if you ask for comfort you will receive it. it may not come in the degree you would like, nor may you be open to sense/feel it, but it will be there. i do not believe that your spirit guides/teachers/guardians would lie to you.

They lie to protect your feelings. my friend told me that and she has been doing this work for 20 years now

I would think it was a mental crutch, tapping your self for reassurance, rather than a separate entity.

Well, what you believe will always affect you the strongest. I too don't think spirit guides would lie, it would defeat their purpose of teaching you. Even to soften the learning, they wouldn't do it. Some lessons are hard enough to learn without having to sift through truth/lies. I've never known a GUIDE to lie, the Ouiji is a whole 'nother story. Put your trust where you will, Amythist. But ask yourself if believing in a lie to soften something is really the way to get help? You're stronger than you think. Ask your guide for total honesty. You should be getting it or what's telling you this internally isn't really a guide. They don't sugar coat anything. At best they'll only tell you the portion that you can deal with & wait till you advance enough to hear the rest. But no lying.

This is the second post in which we learn a teacher in your life gave you information that some of us find odd. Do you have other teachers with whom you communicate, i mean human teachers? Sometimes we can depend on specific humans too much. We respect them so much, we believe everything they say and stop 'testing' their information. 20 years experience does not a teacher make. Questions you might want to ask yourself: Do i have my own thoughts/beliefs separate from this teacher? Do I depend on this Teacher for my stability? Do I have a support group - more than one person? Has my 'gut' tried to say this is not right, but I ignored it? Does this Teacher 'correct' what i think and/or say?

in my opinion, guides are about truth, love and light. they never lie. if they would lie, then how would you know when they were telling you the truth? how could you trust them? where would you be with guides you could not trust? if you are 'hearing' a voice that is lying to you, perhaps it is your own. when i 'hear/feel' my guides, i feel a sense of peace, serenity and love. there is no mistaking the feeling.
