on-line mystery-schools and orders

I was wondering if anyone here have any experice with on-line orders such as thelemic mystery schools and GD orders? i have been checking a few out and find that perhaps i am simply too demanding and picky cause the ones i have found and taken contact with either runs a lucrative business, are made up by charlatans or is by invitation only. i am thinking i am perhaps best off studying on my own after all. it is just that it would be really nice to have a group of people to discuss with and to ask questions and to get ideas from.

It's good to be sceptical. I am, too in that area. You might try and find a school in your neighbourhood. That way, you can check that out and there's less chance of being scammed. It might be hard to find one, but you could give it a try... Good luck! Athara

Jema: The teachings of The Rosicrucian Fellowship are referred to as Western Wisdom & not based on Qabalah nor Tarot. Am mentioning it just in case ye would be interested in taking a look at what it offers: http://www.rosicrucian.com/ There is also The Builders of the Adytum, whose teachings are based on the Qabalah & Tarot: http://www.bota.org/ I recommend both highly!

thanks for the replies. i just heard that B.O.T.A is opening a pronaos in sweden. i did like their introduktion to the tarot so now that i established contact with the swedish group i might go back there for further studies in the tarot and qabalah. at least i know they are a serious organisation without a whole lot of powerplay. will go and read some more about the rose-cross too! i have of course heard about them but never really read more carefully what they are about.
