Alternatives to reiki

Reiki seems to be an effective healing technique for working with the energy of people. I have a growing interest in auras and the subtle energy system. Are there subtle energy healing techniques available as an alternative to reiki?

Oh, so many! My suggestion would be to go to a really good metaphysical bookstore and explore the shelves on healing, looking especially for volumes that discuss several modalities of energetic healing (which include Jin Shin Jyutsu, Jin Shin Do, acupressure, acupuncture, colorpuncture, radionics, Therapeutic Touch, pranic healing, Breema bodywork, vibrational essences, crystal healing, and so many more!). Read the introductory material in those books, and see what you feel drawn to, and what is most accessible to learn as a way to "get your feet wet."

i feel auras....even long distance. i run my hands a few inches over the body and can feel disturbances. when i feel them, i basically smooth them out ( the easy to explain part), or i remove the problem ( not so easy to explain). i started doing this years before i became attuned to reiki. i find that i still prefer this method, but that the reiki works with and assists it.
