Astral Travel...

Just thought I would open this new thread as I am quite curious as to any experiences anyone may have had with respect to astral travel. Perhaps we could start a discussion re. this topic? C

There's a whole lot published on astral travel, also known as out of body experience, and remote viewing. I've read it in pagan literature, in autobiographies, in scientific literature, as well as experiences of people who were in the CIA and army's psychic spying programs. I, myself, have not tried it, being a lily-livered-coward, but I'd really be interested in the experiences of those who have. Essentially I'm afraid to try it on my own, I would were I part of a class in an organization I trusted. Best wishes, RE

Hi Centaur 20...RE Seems we share an interest here...astral travel...consiousness exploration and expansion... I have had many experiences of OBE...and my "astral travelling"... may be something different to someone else... I "fly"...this is the sensation and the actual movement...I see and experience and have had many... many real life confirmations which validate this journey/travel actually occurs...for years I have travelled at "random"...(maybe/maybe not)... to different locations and interacted with others and later in this world of present reality we have remembered and acknowlwdged these occurances...known then that it was so... I have had it happen often with animals that I have a connection to...they regularly accompany me on these journeys...I have a large pack of dogs and cats...7 now...and we are very close...I have read and heard over the years that animals know their way in the astral better than we as humans do... many times I have taken these trips to animals in need and later because of the knowledge gathered...assisted in real time/life rescues and placement into homes these animals needed/wanted to go to...it is how I got my "Raven" name years ago and part of my purpose here... working with Greyhound Rescue...I would travel during sleep to other locations and view and hear scenes that later in real/present time occurred...in exactly the same way same location...at a time in the future...sometimes days...sometimes years later...always involving "RAVEN" as...messenger... there are other experiences where I interact with people I know...sometimes I teach...sometimes I am being taught...sometimes it is something else...these are not dreams...they occur at sleep and reseamble dreams but they are something else... this has happened to me as long as I can remember...I say happened because I don't remember choosing where I go or what I'll do...it just happens...but I do believe that on some level of being I am making choices...and this is probably some of the "why" I can shift consiousness so easily...the shamanic journey work I do...meditation...channellng...healing...pre-cognitive dreaming... the work with crystals...the singing bowls...the drumming...the connections with nature...all these are interrelated and have accelerated this natural ability...I do remember other lives and this has always been my focus in these lives too...and yes in this life there are so many others who I have since re-met in this our present time/life...more confirmations...more travel...for me it is all connected... in my short time on this forum...there have been 3 people I have met here and astral traveled with...and they remember too...I was teaching one to "fly...astral travel"...she even recognised my favorite denim shirt...describing it to me later... another was teaching me how to use an energy form she had great rapport with that I did not.. but in real time/life I had asked her how to do this...she didn't know how to share this personal knowledge...but within weeks we both had recollection of sharing this information in the astral realms...and now I am able to use this energy too... there have been many such travels for me... I'm curious now to see who else will step forward and tell us of their astral travels...I know there are others out there...

Very interesting Ravenal. The reason I began this thread is because I was told by a very perceptive friend of mine that I have been partaking of the astral myself on more than one or two occasions! I find your accounts to be fascinating; would you care to share more of your experiences? Perhaps the most bizzare of mine occured a month or so ago. I had fallen asleep, and next thing I know I was standing at the side of my bed. I panicked. And then I was with a woman. I can only describe her as extremely beautiful; very angelic. I had the most amazing sense of peace and tranquility from this woman. I asked her if she was my spirit guide. She told me, 'there is a little girl'. She then turned into an owl and dissapeared. All in all a very bizzare experience. I have yet to make sense of this. Any thoughts?? C

Hello again Centaur... I believe we get what we want and need as we seek it...I believe in our lives having purpose...the many experiences of this life have shown me much of mine...I am open...I allow...I trust...and I consiously...and very purposfully ask...to be of service...the speaking aloud has power...both to release these occurances and the rememberance and knowledge from within... and manifest it within our present reality...these also seem to occur when there is need involved...situations which require my interaction/connections...or participation... I am often a catalyst and a crossroads...a reciever and a transmitter of information...messenger...but I have been discovering recently that conscious choice allows other types of occurances...it is not far from where we are in present time reality to the astral...our experiences of others becomes more complete when we meet them here...and the togetherness is joyous...a very different merging and connection then in the physical...so much more complete...sight and hearing...are possible...and knowing and feeling too...even more...but something else happens...that is to me indescribable...barriers are down and our truer...more real...energetic spirit level selves relate...remember...recognize and reconnect...we are not alone...nor are we separated as we often seem to see/feel/think ourselves in the 3-D world... some of the crystals and stones I use enhance this travel...so does my work with vibration...sound...and light...other journey work...as a channel for energy and information I have become very clear and able to attune to and direct this flow...it is a great responsibility and I do not enter into it frivolously...but it is another part of myself I have claimed/re-claimed and use as I would use any other part of me...I believe we all have these capabilities...I have chosen to remember and use mine...it makes me whole...more of who I really am... I find it almost impossible to separate out what has aided me in this...it is more a matter of all the interrelatedness and then recognising the possibilities and potiential...which have most recently moved this into a higher level of activity for me now...or so I imagine/experience...the need may be there as well...but I encourage your explorations... this would not be occurring for you now unless you had a use or purpose...so be open.. trust and believe in the possibilities...listen...ask and relax...allow...then enjoy...something is calling you...call back...be aware...it is more of who you really are...

Thanks for the encouragement Ravenal. I am certainly very intrigued and enjoying the adventure. It appears to be happening more and more frequently. I just wonder as to what was meant by, 'there is a little girl'. I find the whole thing to be very cryptic. What sort of vibration work do you do?

Centaur... as pre pm...the symbolic correspondances are shared...and appreciated... I think almost all I have been exploring in my expansion and search of consiousness has a vibrational nature and impact... the work with singing bowls...both quartz and Tibetian...and the drumming are sound...vibration...the work with crystals...light and vibration...the meditation...dreaming...astral travel...shamanic journey work...shifting of my present/everyday reality vibration to enter these states...even my connections with the natural world and my own animals are experienced by me as vibration/resonance...I attune...I do healing work...it channels energy...vibration...I channel information from a variety of sources and when it comes thru the shift in vibration is readily apparent... I have had experiences that shift me into the fundamental energy that I am at the core level and I travel/become this pattern/vibration in all that is...no separation...BLISS...then the shift back into a less expanded and more local vibration of what I really am...for me everything is vibration... I also have explored using vibrational tools such as flower...gemstone...animal...star...etc essences which have been very helpful to me and others who have explored them with me...it's easy to do and maybe you would like to consider this...there are essences which are available to assist astral travel...I have not used these but I sense they may help you develope this ability and possibly bring you clarity and understanding... www.pegasusproducts.com
