Floating Spirit Phenomenon

Hi there everyone! About 3 weeks ago I experienced something that has never happened to me before. I'm wondering if someone can help explain it to me. As I was in the early stages of falling asleep, I was awakened by a female spirit, really beautiful, floating right towards me. She entered the room from the right, floated right through my husband and stopped directly over top of me. This is a little bit embarrassing but she touched my face and then gave me a long passionate kiss. It felt like when you first kiss someone you're really in love with. I could feel the way this spirit felt and it was as if she/it entered my body somehow. This was real and I know I wasn't dreaming. As it was happening I felt a very strong, heavy presence in the room but wasn't frightened while it was happening. I then realized what was going on and I pushed the spirit out of the way because I knew it was a weird thing to be happening. I did see and experience this. I calmly went back to sleep and only remembered it the next morning after I had been awake for about an hour or so. There it is in a nutshell. Does anyone have any comments on this type of phenomenon? Lady Skye )O(

It being a pre-dream state, it's hard to tell what exactly did happen. Dream? Angel/spirit? Since it doesn't seem to be dangerous, it's not too much of a concern on that count. I don't know what beliefs you follow, but you might be able to make a more waking connection by trying to bring the being in with you during meditation & asking questions. There's a good possibility it was a waking dream (prior to you going down into deep sleep) especially since you remembered it after an hour after you woke up. The pre-sleep time is a very creative time, many people use it to help with problems they couldn't figure out during the day, or for assistance in writing if they're stuck on plot twists, or creatively for artistic help. It's the time your subconsicous is practically as awake & able to be connected to as strongly as your conscious mind is. I know that doesn't answer anything for you, but I put it out there as one possible explanation.

I can't say I have ever experienced something quite as vivid as that Lady Skye! LOL. But in the past I used to have a big problem with "seeing" people come through the walls at night! I would fall asleep, than "wake up" (but actually still be asleep) I would see the room, the bed, the walls, and people would walk through the wall and try to get in bed with me. It was pretty scary. I had to borrow my parents dog to keep the spirits out, LOL. A friend of mine said, don't worry, they are spirits, they don't want to hurt you, they want to make love to you (!!!) After too many nights of this I took to shouting at them, I would say, "GO AWAY". Usually I force myself to wake up, with tremendous effort, before they do something to me I don't want them too...

Hi Lady Skye, I used to have that kind of thing happen. A lot. The period between wake and sleep actually has a name. Hypnogogic state. I have had some very vivid visions in that state. Now I do the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram, complete with invoking the protection of the archangels, around my bed. I hardly ever dream anymore, and frankly I consider that a good thing. Why, you say? Well, I came to some pretty harsh concludions about those spirits over a period of many years. I do not think they are your friends, nor are they helpful. I think of them as psychic vampires. If you read old stuff you read about succubus and incubus, male and female spirits who come in dreams and arouse sexual feelings for the purposes of stealing from the sleeper's psyche. I think this sort of activity has been around for a while. Just my opinion.

I just realized that I left something out of my description. I recently met this woman over the internet whom I purchased a crystal singing bowl from. She is very much into the metaphysical, but also a person I would describe as an earth angel ~ a very wonderful person. We got to know each other through emails stemming from my purchase ~ exchanging a photo or two of each other and becoming friends. I have never met her in person to date. This spirit looked exactly like her and I think that is why I wasn't frightened by her presence. As I mentioned, however, I realized that it was a weird thing to be happening! I emailed her the next day to ask what she had done. Turns out this lady had been thinking very intensely about me during that week. She had done a past life meditation to find out how or if we had known each other in a previous life. Perhaps she wasn't completely grounded and found her way to me. I'm just grasping at straws here. What do you guys think? )O(

before deciding what to do, i think you must first ask yourself if this is someone you have a romantic interest in? are you comfortable with this? do you want her to 'visit' you at this time? is this something that will work within your marriage? i'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that she knew what she was doing when she visited you, but didn't tell you for whatever reason. if the answer is no but you want to continue the friendship, ask her to stop visiting. tell her it makes you uncomfortable. if it happens again anyway, you will need to protect yourself.
