God/dess (a universal intelligence and builder of existence)
Is it:
A:/a centralised force, hierarchical in structure.
B:/a non-centralised structure, with equal “power” distributed within every point of existence
C/ something else
If the answer leans more in the direction of B, does it mean that more rewarding spiritual understanding comes from a study of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Psychology & Math?
could meditating on these 5 , lead your average person to a far deeper understanding of nature ( and life) than meditating on any directly spiritual work (Bible, Koran, Gita etc)?

If God/dess is everything, how could it be any one thing?

well.... i would have to guess b and c.
i've found learning about physics to be a huge help in how i view spirituality. to know that my spiritual beliefs do not conflict and in fact appear to be aligned with what we are learning of physics, has really given me a kind of faith.
a couple of books that you might enjoy, if you choose to pursue this line of thought, are;
'the tao of physics', by fritjof capra and
'the dancing wu li masters', by gary zukov

Hi all,
My take is "C" Somthing else.
The bottom line for me is, I feel the "Almighty" is something I will never truly understand His/Her pressence can be felt everywhere. In my heart I feel the God/Godess is a single diety with may different "faces" or responsibilities. When showing a particular face (fulfilling a resonsibility) such as "Mother Earth" God/Godess does it with loves and deserves respect and our prayers of thanks.
Cant wait to see the others responses...
Blessings,
Cj

Well...
Best I can say at the moment (I reserve the right to grow) is that:
1) God/dess is
2) more rewarding spiritual understanding comes with living
Please remember these are no more, no less than opinions and may have little or nothing to do with any 'greater' reality outside of my own little framework.....
fly well
explore everything

I think I would go with C. I feel that part of a one's personal spirituality (that which you share with no one or very few) is still figure out just what God/dess is. And I think that this is a life long search.

All of the above! (I know, I had to be difficult.) :)
A. First, "God/dess" is a centralized force, hierarchical in structure .... this corresponds, for example, to the structure of the Tree of Life, the "order" of "archangels", the different "levels", realms, vibrations, etc... Living in Malkuth, we are a lower vibration than that of Kether, whereas in Kether the energy is more intense because it is closer to the "source" -- and when looked at in this way, there would HAVE to be a centralized point... the beginning, the word, the bang, the ONE and ALL... from which all things proceeded. And, naturally it would follow a system, hierarchial in structure.
B. But at the same time, "God/dess" permuates everywhere. We, for example, are pieces of god, as is the tree, the pile of dog crap, etc., etc. ... This view is remaniscent of Taoist beliefs. Who is to label what defines "equal power" -- and isn't there a quote "all is equal in God's eyes" (or something like that.) As for meditating on Physics, Chemistry and the like, as opposed to direct spiritual works... I tend to believe that they both have the potential to get you to the same point... what it really depends on is what is inside of you, as these are just tools and reference points (and you may have to humor my belief of this here) to reawakening and remembering what you all ready know about Divinity.
C. Something completely else! Because "God/dess" if can be all these things, it defies our logic, our understanding... and thus becomes a paradox. .....
