Ive been in a deep rut for sometime now and I have no idea what can be wrong with me. Im in the process of doing a cleansing on myself and my home. Ive also tried doing a reading on myself but I feel to strongly about it. The problems Ive been having are very huge and I feel like Ive been having a bad case of bad luck!!! I lost my job because school was getting harder and needed more time, because of that my fiance and I have been tight on money!! We didnt have food and couldnt pay rent but our families helped us out.
With this going on school was not my # 1 priority with that i falied the quater which means pay more money that we dont have. Then some good news came, I had an iterview for bath and body works. I went to it this past tuesday and it went great!! I felt that the maneger really liked me ^_^ With the hopes of a new job things got alot better unti yesterday. I got a phone call from my bank, it was about my credit card. My fiance and I hadnt made payments cause we didnt have the money. Now they want the whole balence by the 25th of this month. The balance is over $700 we dont even have anything close to that!!!! Even if we did rent is due at the end of the month. Why is it that whenever things look good something has to happen. I know that life isnt fair and my fiance and I are still learning about the real world. Yet I cant help but feel that theres something that the tarot can clear up for me...what should I do??

Sometimes life's like that. What's yours will eventually be yours. Maybe it's not yet the right time to ripe. I believe tarot could give you advices... but ultimately, hang on, i'm sure lady luck will be on your side soon. :) Bless you.

Menmay: I'm moving this thread over to the Spirituality section, because I think that it is not a Tarot solution you are really seeking, but a spiritual solution. But of course, if I am wrong, perhaps you could find a good spread in the Tarot spreads section and post it in the Your Readings for input. :)

Hi Menmay, just because the bank says they have to have the balance by a certain date doesn't mean that's necessarily true. Usually creditors will work with you, as long as you can pay some amount per month. I suggest going to the bank, sitting down with someone in person and saying, "look, I can pay X dollars per month, which I promise to do." I'm sure they would rather have that than force you into bankruptcy, which would mean they'd get nothing. I'm sure they'll be willing to work with you.

On that same note, there are several consumer credit help places, that for free, can talk to your creditors and get them to work out a payment schedule. They can also help you budget and get your other financial stuff in order.
I totally understand your situation. I've been un- and under-employed for 2 years now, and it's so difficult. That's why poverty sucks. If it were easy, everyone would want to be poor!
But on a more personal level, repeat to yourself every day, "The universe (Goddess, God, whatever) will provide what I need." And believe it. Because it will. You just might have to adjust your idea of what you really need and what you just want.
Hang in there.

hi:) i too have dealt with MAJOR money issues.. i started a new career a year ago & then my hubby went on disability for 6 months.. & of couse we did not recive a check from the state for about 4 months of that .... i was always stressed & angry & upset about money & as soon as i realized that i cannot allow money or the lack of it rule my life... things started getting easier.. for one the bills will always be there they are not going anywhere.. relax & get your prioritys str8 .. roof over your head & food in your mouth all else is 2nd.. at one time ford credit was getting on us about his truk payment but we had to pay our lot rent.. well i just said screw it.. sorry my home comes first.. truck comes 2nd... they did not like that but guees what? they worked with us on it & we did get to paying it.. we are not anywhere near well off now but we are becoming stable where having foood is not a issue...just remember that the debts & the bills will be there later.. figure out what is most important in your life & concentrate on that if that means the CC comp may have to wait a month or 2 they will have to wait...

Menmay, I could sware that you were doing a reading for me! Mirror image of my life, except for the interview. (sigh!) I'm on suspension because my grades weren't up to par b/c I was too worried about bills. But I was condsidering on taking a term off to relax and perhaps get things straightened out. Hopefully I'll get a dicent job that'll help that part out.

Just thought you'd like to know you're not the only one in that situation ;) Something about, misery loves company? :D

that I'm not the only bankrupt around here.

I can't even express how much money I lack. Fortunately IRS has taken too much from me every month and now they will pay it back and some more because I'm so miserable.

Added to the fact that I'm poor, student and single mother I ain't have no credit because I am a foreign. Foreigns have no credit (we can take the plane back home and never pay it), unless we deposit about U$ 50 000 in the bank, in which case, I'm not sure I would need any credit.

Anyway, I join the crowd that screams, "poverty sucks". And I must add that the less money we have, the more we have to spend, and the few extra we can make. I, for example spend a lot on late payment fees, early withdrawal or too many withdrawals from savings.

The good thing though is that I have found a lot of help and support from unrelated persons. My family cannot help me out right now (the currency in Brazil is very devaluated to the dollar), but friends have never let my son and I starve. Being that they aren't that rich either, I think it has been a good opportunity for me to see another side of human nature I had not seen while I had all I needed and plus. I just hope I can get a job and be nice to them, in return...

There ARE nice people out there whom we would never know, were we rich...

Alex.

Hi Menmay! I too am poor I am on ssd and ssi and way below the poverty level myself ! I know how hard it can be. I just wanted to offer one thing to this discussion. Have you applied for food stamps? Also see if your community has a food pantry or maybe a local church which distributes food to those in need. Also, when you do a reading ask the cards to help you find your source(s) of strength. Best wishes, wolfen
