After becoming a pagan I learned that after we live this life on earth, we return to Summerland, and before we incarnate again, create a life plan which will guide us the next time around.
In this plan special attention is given to the lessons we're to learn when we return to earth.
When I discovered how accurate astrology is, and how close it is to the life I'm living, it occurred to me that perhaps that's where we manifest the plan.
Does anyone else have thoughts about this?
Curious,
Red Emma

Red Emma, that is indeed one of the theories that have been advanced for why astrology works so well as a way to delineate the life path. You might be interested in this website: http://home.earthlink.net/~willner/
One of Mr. Willner's areas of expertise is the Edgar Cayce readings, specifically as they relate to astrology. He has written an excellent book on the subject, available in paperback and discussed on his website.

Astrea,
I love it when I think of some, to me, new idea and discover some smart person was there first. I may not be particularly original, but I am in good company.
Thanks very much for the link

Red Emma,
This is going to sound weird. But have you ever been doing something and have the feeling that you've done it before? I don't know if anyone else out there has, but I have. Ever since I can remember I've had that feeling. The other day I was in a shoe store with my friend and she was asking mee a question and I had the feeling that I had been standing there before and she had asked me that question before. I dunno maybe it's just me and I'm a pysco (sp?). I'm just wondering if anyone else has had that feeling. C ya - Str4BerryAn9eL :TTEMP

Red Emma...as I see it, every time one of us thinks of something we haven't thought before (even if someone else has had the same thought), that idea becomes fresh and new again, and ripe with possibilities for further exploration! That's why there are so many theories in the first place, right? :)

Str4B:
I believe it's called deja -- now I don't know how to spell the "vu" of deja vu.
It happens to me now and again. I suspect it does to many people.
This anecdote is not quite connected to the subject, but your question made me think of it. My father, who was as left brained as possible, returned from a trip to California with my mother. He was still amazed and a little spooked.
"There I was Bet, walking down the street in (I think it was San Diego), and I knew that if I turned the corner I would see a certain house with a eucalyptus tree in the front yard. And by golly, we turned the corner and there it was."
First of all, I was amazed that he knew what a eucalyptus tree looked like since he'd spent his life in the Pacific Northwest. And more amazed that he'd admit the spooky experience to me. He had nothing but scorn for my "stupid, silly" beliefs. Ah, well. Maybe he's incarnated somewhere else now and will come walking down my street, and wonder at the hedge of rose bushes he remembers.
I'd like to say something else. I suspect you're more intuitive than you've here-to-fore known. While the world at large doesn't like to think that intuition is anyhthing more than sick imaginations, you and I know it's wrong. The world, that is. Please, believe in your hunches and guesses, then explore to see if they're true if you need to. But do believe in yourself.
Goddess Bless
