Psychic spies, O-O-B Spooks

Someone, in the past couple of days posted a query about a kind of spying which makes James Bond passe, if not downright old fashioned. I started to reply, but wanted to get my facts straight first. Now I've spent most of the morning trying to find that thread, to no avail. So here goes...just out in the blue. I hope the original posters will see this.

Both the US army and the CIA started using psychics to do out-of-body spying sometime in the 70's. Their efforts were triggered by the information that the Soviets were not only using psychic spies, but had also perfected methods by which they could plant suggestions in the heads of our leaders, manipulate machinery (missles, etc.) and techological stuff.

These first US forays into the field are described in books written by some of the psi-spies.

"Psychic Warrior" by Davis Morehouse is as fascinating as any X-Files script. If it's your first foray into this field, you'll start to wonder if Morehouse didn't just purloin a script from as-yet-to-be- filmed Hollywood movie. But his information and anecdotes are seconded by other authors.

"Captain of My Ship, Master of My Soul" by F. Holmes Atwater. Atwater set up the Army's psychic spying program. As a youngster, Atwater had psychic experiences. He seems to have come from a family of psychics.

Ingo Swann acted as a trainer for both the CIA and the Army through, at first, Stanford Research Institute, SRI. At SRI, Swann, along with physicists Hal Puthoff and Russell Targ established some of the protocols of Remote Viewing. In his earliest efforts, Swann was able to affect a laboratory machine. Just imagine how this would work with military installations.

Right now I'm reading, "Remote Viewing, What it is, who uses it, and how to do it," by Tim Rifat. He tells how the technique has gone into civilian and business use, and how the businesses which don't use psychic spies will be left behind in that competitive area. The Japanese are using it for their own merchant companies, the Chinese are developing military "remote influencers" to "be used agains the USA and the West," according to Rifat.

Although Rifat calls himself a scientist, I feel that his attitude outside of anything approved by "authority" brings that statement into question. Had I not read so many books on the subject whose information supported Rifat, I'd question many of his statements. He's pretty closed minded.

According to Rifat, people who have not previously shown psychic skills can be trained in the field.

Remote Viewing been used to find terrorist-kidnapped diplomats and defense personnel. Sometimes too late.

Psychic spying seems to be a burgeoning profession. There are training schools; I know of one in Las Vegas, Nevada. Were I about 50 years younger, I'd have a go at it myself. I just might, anyhow. My horoscope says that I'm due to burst out of my current, conventional dull life.

Anyhow, I hope this is of some help.

Hell! This is happening in reality? It sounds like a Sci-Fi movie... Its very interesting.
But... what do you think about it in terms of ethics or morality? Do you think its correct to use psychics in this areas?

I read something about remote viewing in a newspaper just after 11/9. A remote viewing web site had had pictures of a plane hitting a large building in the USA , before it tragically happened. It was a while back now,and i didn't favorite the link at the time :-( but it was rather alarming.

Red Emma, do you have any links to good sites on this? I was sceptical when I first heard of remote viewing. Now , I think theirs something very real at the heart of it.

So... my intuition telling me that my ex (who is VERY psychic) is eavesdropping on my telephone psychically, picking up on the websites I visit, AND ruining the electrical equipment on my car in fits of anger...not to mention the tingling I feel in my crown chakra that intuition tells me is him also...uh these really aren't signs of on coming demensia...lol
Have had numerous occasions to realize that there is more to psychic phenomena than merely fortune telling. If I can run into one man (who can have women either hypnotically entralled or desperatly craving him) with the ability to manipultate people and electrical equipment then there has got to be others out there like him...the subject is just so beyond the scope of what we've been taught and THOUGHT we knew about human nature that few would venture to entertain the idea...you'd think the stories of Jesus and Buddha were fairytales...I read a book once that ventured to explain how the concept works I think it was titled "The Finding of the Third Eye"
I have been reading however that the earth is about to go thru a major transformation and that we will all become aware of our "God" nature and hopefully people like my Ex will be drug kicking and screaming into the "light" or banished to some lower astral holding tank hehe...

Inanna, I like the ethics of Pagans the most: "An it harm none, do as ye will."

Of course that precludes going off to war to shoot other young people, or bombing the bejezus out of cities, and all that kind of stuff that existing religions seem to approve.

As for the ethics of remote viewing, it's like any of our human endeavors. Fire can warm our homes and cook our food, it can also be triggered by those who traffic in war and burn cities, not to mention any stray human who happens to be around.

There is a story (I've read so many books I don't know where I got this info) about some remote viewers who were in Spain to try to find kidnapped and otherwise missing children.

They succeeded in several instances and turned the information over to their liaison with the police force. At the end of the experiment they asked the liaison if their information had helped the officers who were looking for the children. "I don't know," he said. "The whole thing is so ridiculous that I didn't pass on any of your information."

Now, where are the ethics in that scenario?

Goddess Bless

P.S. I seem to be in a confrontive mood this morning...if the above is a little sharp, please ignore that and just consider the information.

some fear including i by revealing one self too much that they can get grab off the street and put into a think tank for the rest of their lives.

this isnt' a die hard fear of myself like suffoctating or being completey immobile for hours upon hours, or slowly drowning, (these are i think past lives issues as well )

but still a fear nonetheless which probaly started when you could get arrest for your beliefs and knowledge. the inquistion ?
i dont' know if i was alive then.

ever see the hearts of alantis ? that book speaks of an earlier time when psychic spies were used, and i believe it to be so. (not due to the movie but other books of the time)

who here doens't have a fear that for their tarot reading abilities, or their psychic abilites will get grab for their abilities ?
1. better they grab you then the other people number one reasons
2. they grab you to keep you controlled
3. to stop you from influening the county ?

nah,, but still the fear resides in me ever since i picked up a tarot deck near when i was 16.

in fact i had a dream about it.

in it there was prymids, on a table and i found something out and i was running and men in black were chasing me down the ramp. this was triggered for i saw a pymid new age set of some sort in a book store (this would of 1990 in case anyone knows what it was).

I've tried to practice remote viewing and came across a problem. How do you know when you are getting it right, and how do you stop the imagination adding its own embelishments?

Maybe some of the remote veiewing programs where closed was because for every gem there was a lot of coal.

I tried to remote view 2012, but my own mind gets in the way. How can you trust what you see?

i'm far from an expert, and sometimes the lines between remote viewing, telepathy and oob's become blurred. so take this with a grain of salt, lol.

sometimes i see just a shape or color or even feel something (as if that makes sense, haha), and my brain does fill in the pieces. so what happens is, i can maybe see something blue and round and my mind will say ball, but what i've actually seen might be an upside down blue bowl. hopefully time and practice will help things come in clearer.

Icarius, the early programs were closed because the general public is terrified and scornful of anything to do with the occult, as are a lot of congressmen. The nay-sayers got control of the political process, and managed to do away with any programs based on the concept.

Yet, both Presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan used information which had been discovered with remote viewing. What's happened now is that government agencies are still using the process, but so deeply imbedded in secrecy that it's really hard to discover how they work.

The accuracy of the information gained through this form of spying exceeds 15%, which seems pretty low, but information from conventional spies has an accuracy rate of less than 15%. There are reports that some RV'ers have something more than a 50% accuracy rate.

I've not tried remote viewing on my own, although I suspect I will before long. For technical questions about the how-tos, and how-do-you-know-whens, I think that both you and Zorya will find some answers in F. Holmes Atwater's book, "Captain of my Ship, Master of My Soul." In chapter four, "Remote Viewing Training and Operation," page 86 in my copy, I think a lot of your questions will be answered.

Happy Travelling.

Icarus  04 Apr 2003
thanx

I will look out for that book.

With a 15% rate, how do they know which information is in that bracket, a what to discard?

I don't doubt one bit however that it works. There was a docu of about russian remote viewing on last year here (england). The russians are a lot more open about it since the end of the u.s.s.r. I have it taped somewhere, i will see if i can find it again.

:-):-)

Well... its true that all its good or bad depending in the use we make of it.

About for that story, think i know of it. Im spanish. Guess you are refering to something that was some years ago. Were kidnapped three teenagers and was a case that shocked the public opinion. They were found murdered, but there were psychics trying to help the police to find them.

So, i understand what you say, but when i asked about ethics, i was thinking more on a political, guvernamental area than in policial investigation.

Anyways, i dont know nothing about this subject. But i found interesting some of the things im reading here.

Red Emma  06 Apr 2003
I'm glad you found some of the material interesting, Inana. I suspect the use of these qualities will be, at least in the beginning, mostly for governmental and military stuff since it was they who funded the research and putting the programs together. From what I read, I think the business community is close behind.

Thanks for your comments.
