i was checking on one of my favourite authors ruth montgomery and one of her books was herald of the new age.
and then i recall she died in june of 2001 after she released her last book at the age of 87. so at the age of 89 or 90 she released from her body.
when a passing of a herald of an age occurs does that age end and a new age starts ?
example would be, for me after edgar crayce, i heard nothing (book wise, to jane roberts and then ruth montgomery and her book search for tomorrow )
(arthur ford was active during this time but i dont know much about him )
so for me the age of edgar crayce, til jeanne dixon and ruth mongemery and jane roberts (both in the 60s,) was a dark age.
brb ..
ah and crowley died in 47 ,, brb,
ah and cayce died in 45..
lates 40s crayce, and crowley die,
mides 60s , ruth montgomery and jane roberts start their path..
with the ruth passing in 2001, herald of the new age..
would it logically be over ? and was the age of crayce and crowley be called ?
those of us who learn the term new ages quickly find out it isn't new age but old age just reawakened in us, our society
yet during the war , it was there as spiritualism, mediumship, and such then died out in the 50s,, due some influencale deaths.
we are now in the aquarian age ?
so the new age was the start and end of the old piscies age ?
and so what do we call ourselves ?
ohh , the 40s spiritualist was called the golden age, wiat,,
1880s, 1920s, golden age (golden dawn )
1930s to lates 40s, (silver age )
60s til now new age all heralds that were there at the beginning are now moved on (i could be wrong but eden gray the tarot book person of the new age 60s is pass on late 90s )
(to be fair , some bridges remianed throught some of these ages, , willaim gray magenetic healer , basis for the book born to heal, psychic arthur ford,
and isreal regardie made it through all three ages )
what age would you say we are in .. the light age ? the love age ? the conscious age ? the earth age,? the higher age?
ah well any thoughts ?
(what do the stars, the numbers, say ?)
edited to add.
the message i heard was the new age is over, it is the new age, .
that reminds me of the king is dead, long live the king.

Judging from what we see all over the place, we are definitely in the Age of Self Help. From Dr. Phil to Deepak Chopra, etc. etc.
I suppose there are many ages going on at the same time, depending on your perspectives & interests.
However, I secretly think that we are in the Age of Unfolding , where whatever is within mankind as a whole will be revealed for good or ill because it can no longer be repressed or controlled. This applies to all levels of life, and can have wonderful & horrible consequences.

hi holmes :) if you do a search on the age of aquarius, i think you'll find a few threads with astrological opinions as to when the new age begins, which as i remember was debatable. we are in it, or not yet. either way we are in a transitioning period, either beginning an old age or entering a new one.
many would say the age of aquarius is the age of reason. the time of opening minds. people will begin to reason and think for themselves rather than blindly follow the status quo.

if you look at spiritual history , we are in a transition phase, but just starting out on it.
