Just wondering if the Green Witch books series (I,II,III) is a good investment? What about Raymond Buckland's books? Is it too much for a beginner + solitary?

I have read only one of the Green Witch books, but from what I have heard about the other two which I aven't read, they are very good. Down to earth, truthful, practical, and very useful.
I would recommend them above Ray Buckland's books, simply because I am not too sure about his work. But that's more personal opinion than anything else.

i have 'green witchcraft' I and III, by ann moura, and like them very much.
i get even more use out of her book 'green magic'. i think it is the best of her books for a beginner and solitaire. less focus on wicca and more on basic magic. the correspondences in the appendix alone are worth the price.

i have had them and they are ok, but they are also very basic and filled with info you can find in most other books.
so if you already read a lot of wicca 101 books i can't really recommend them. but if you haven't and you want something basic - then they are really great.

I have all three books myself as well. I use them the most out of all the other books that I have.
I will agree that they are basic and you can find just about the same information in other books. If you are on a budget and still looking at buying them, I would recommend just buying the first two. The third one is a work book that takes you through I and II.

The Green Witchcraft books are what I tend to recommend to solitaries who are just starting out. I say go for it. Sure, lots of the information provided is standard 101 stuff, but the author does add a different flavor to it.
They also make for a more interesting read than, say, Cunningham's solitary books.
