I'm in love with Michael

I have a confession to make. It is inspired by a thread going on in Talking Tarot in which someone admits to have fallen in love with the Hermit card of a particular deck. I'm in love with the archangel Michael. I'm not even a Catholic and don't understand this very well and may be opening myself up to a big no-no from some of you out there. I was not raised within the context of a Judeo-christian religion and my only familiarity with Michael is through circle casting in which I invite 4 of the archangels to guard my circle and witness my rites. But he's really grown in me, somehow. Hard to explain. But I've got a really bad crush on him. I have a feeling this isn't appropriate. What can I do? I swear, this is not a joke. I really feel his presence every now and then and, OMG, I'm completely drooling. I don't know if I can say this here, but I'm literally sexually attracted to him. There. It's out. O.K. feedback time.

Belladonna, Have you seen the movie, "Michael" with John Travolta? He plays a somewhat tarnished archangel who comes to earth. He interacts with reporters from a tabloid, and helps them find love. In the movie, Michael has a way of attracting women that's like water to a parched throat. A few tears, but a good movie.

i have had a 'crush' on Michael for ages and ages...my mother is catholic (i was not raised catholic) and we often had the trappings of catholicism around my grandmother's house...upon a trip into NYC to St. Patrick's cathedral i picked up a bunch of prayer cards, and the first one i picked up was Michael's... oh yeah, as divinerguy says, if you haven't seen "Michael" the movie, see it...it's very, very good...:) i understand...completely!!! :D many blessings, ~azure

Just a quick comment: Churches and what-not may use angels in their trappings and rituals. But they certainly don't originate nor were they invented by any church. I don't know where you got that idea from Belladonna (I'm reading your post here and you say that you're not Catholic or anything but still feel the presence of the archangel.) Angels pre-date modern religions (and by modern religions I mean Catholicism as well.)

Personally I don't see anything wrong in having sexual attraction towards an angel, or a deity in fact... I was reading an article this morning about a Unitarian Universalist Sunday school, where the kisd were taught about the Goddess. One kid said that the Goddess accepts all kinds of love, and there are many kinds of love around. Sometimes, he said, you can say no to some kinds of love, and say yes to others. So to me, sexual attraction is just another form of love. True, it is less commonly afforded to deities and angels than it is to humans, but that's simply because we can always see and feel humans, and not deities or angels as much. I think sometimes a sexual attraction to a deity or angel is just another way of being close to them, just as reverence or other kinds of respect are. Just as we feel differently for different kinds fo humans, (Sexual attraction for partners, reverence for Fathers, etc) we feel different kinds of love for deities/angels... Maybe you could learn to use these feelings for Michael in a way that can promote self-development? I'm not entirely sure how, but we use reverence of Gods etc to promote self-development, so why not sexual attraction? :D Hope this helps! Kiama

You guys are great! No, I haven't seen the movie, yet. I'm out in the hicks here, no Blockbusters video stores within 5 hours. Azuremariposa, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one! Diana, you're absolutely right. It is very silly of me to go on as if the Catholic church is the only one who has "dibbs" on Michael. Kiama, thank your for your fresh and open insight about this!

Dear Belladonna, If your cursed for loving, having a crush on, and sexually attracted to Michale, well then, so am I! I'm not catholic either, was never raised catholic (was raised protestan christian, but not butcherly if you catch my drift). Later on when I learned about the arch angels that catholicism adopted, Michale being one of them, well my heart thumped just like puppy love. I too have called many times on Michale for assistance in spiritual work, or to protect my sleeping children in times that I felt it necessary. I adore him, and feel attracted to him much like you are. After a while, my intense feelings dwindled to a lesser degree, but I will always love him, like a lost lover, the one that got a way sort of feeling, yet he's always there, and have always come when I've called upon him. I find NOTHING wrong with being attracted to him at all in such a way. Like i said, if your doomed, then so am I. LOL.

Hopefully you are over 18. If so buy the book sex magick and they talk about having sex with deities/gods/whatever for excess energy. I forget the author. Just be careful young lady because demonic possesions are a reality.
