Except I'll never dry out. It won't seem to stop raining. This is grey, dense cloud cover, fog that sits in the air even though its pouring. I don't know if I'll ever be warm and dry again. And fire is the element I have the most trouble with. And I mean, it takes me 6 matches before one lights- on that level.
Any fellow wiccans out there with some good ideas for working/invoking fire. Just thought I could do with some fresh ideas, spells, anything. Beltane came and went and I'm just not feeling it this year. Note- I'm extremely watery by nature, so I need the extra strenght formula!

Hi Belladonna,
You can send some of that rain over here if you like! We've just had the worst drought in recorded history.
I guess wishful thinking isn't much help though :)

We're in the same wet 'blessing', here in Maryland. I, too, an a 'duck', Cancer w/Cancer!!! AGGGGHHHHH!
Kundalini gets the fire going for me. Meditation and focusing on the tail of the spine until the fire rises!
Saging, of course. Holding fire stones - amber is my favorite. Rub it like crazy!
Focus on fire goddesses. I'd say Kali Ma, but she is Tower magnified. Who is your Archangel?
Lots of candles......... meditate with them.

ah, i wish i could help you there, beautiful lady...:( sadly, i am almost totally fire and air...no water in my astrological natal chart at all!! heh...though i have moon conj Pluto, which gives me a Scorpio-like moon....:D
Kundalini is excellent to work with...the fire that lives inside of us...also, anything that would raise your energy level would be of benefit...
if you wanted you could turn to Tarot...Wands are Fire...what can you do to bring more Wands into your life? ;)
myself, if i wish to bring a little warmth and 'fire' into my life, i like to do yoga...the sun salutation specifically...even when it is raining!! lol...you can find demonstrations of it online in various places...(just google it)
you can try candles, or other things of that nature...but since you are so 'watery'...i don't know that i'd go that route...i'd say it has to come more from the inside...
do something 'fiery'...be aggressive, do something daring, challenging...challenge yourself to do something you don't think you can do...and then do it!! :D
these are just thoughts/ideas...maybe they will help...maybe they will 'spark' a few ideas of your own ;) i wish you the best, as always...
much love and many blessings,
~azure

Yeah- and yet another day full of rain and gray clouds. When the sun does come out for a few hours, it's only enough to turn the moisture into horrible sticky humidity. Ugh!
Light some candles and meditate on the flames, and put on some wool socks! ;) A little lavender oil is always comforting if the rain is getting you down, or cook something with (just a pinch) of cayenne pepper to really warm you up.

Moongold, look out for a little raincloud, I'm going to WILL one over with all my might!
Skytwig, I've been working with kundalini a little more regularly these days, but perhaps I've got it backwards. I do it at night, right before bed (I've always been a pretty good lucid dreamer- I wonder if its because of the energy stimulated right before sleep?) It takes me forever to wake up and feel energised in the morning- like until afternoon. Do you think I should really try to switch around this rythym? I suppose I should if I want to have any hope at being a little more solar... When you say saging, do you mean burning sage? I do that sometimes as a smudging. I never really thought about how it does seem to have a nice "drying out" affect. I don't have any amber... what about tiger's eye? I've always been attracted to Michael.
Fire goddesses... hm... I've mostly worked with Hecate and Cerridwen and recently Athena, but would you consider Bride firy?
Azuremariposa, I've got sun, mercury, uranus, and my true node(I actually don't know what that means) in Scorpio, and mars in cancer! I think your idea about doing the sun salutation is excellent. I used to be fairly active, but find myself very still since winter. I'm too cold to move! I've been thinking about wands, too. I keep pulling the 5 of wands reversed for the clients I do readings for, probably more than any other card?! I know I need to get my own fires lit, again. I love candles, I wish I could just do a simple candle spell to get started... I know this is going to be tough, I feel sluggish and as cold and wet as a ...Gollum. Ugh.
jbvt, I'm drinking cayenne pepper tea as we speak. (Actually an echinacea tincture that includes cayenne, I HAVE a cold to boot) I'm so watery, I tend to take hot baths when I feel like this, but this afternoon, as I was in the bath, I wondered if this was not such a good idea.
Thank you all for your support and good ideas! I do feel my energy sparked a little! I think I'll go have some salsa.

As the old song goes (to make a jolly red nose). Just some more everyday, less elaborate things to try.
But I was thinking more of the first one. Cinnamon is a sweet hot spice (can't put it on your skin, but the smell and taste could help.
Actually, somehow bringing the intensity of the kitchen/cooking/baking feel into your house is a great way to up the fire level. MMMmmmmm cookies.....

Hi Belladonna, Cape Breton is lovely place indeed. I lived in Nova Scotia for many years. It does rain some. :)

Yes it does, though this spring is like nothing I've seen in the 6 years I've lived here. Bridges and roads have been washed out or damaged! Where abouts did you live? I'm over in Inverness county. Ever seen Joe's Scarecrows?
