Sometimes babies will laugh when lying on the bed to the air. I was told that there is a God playing with them..so what do you think?

What age baby are we talking of? I ask because up to a certain age, infants usually only perform actions which are reflexes, such as sucking and swallowing, and possibly laughing.
And after a certain age, it has been shown that when an infant finds a new noise which it likes, it will repeat that noise to itself. Just like when an infant constantly gurgles (Anybody who's raised a baby will know about gurgling! ;))... It likes the sound, so it repeats it.
I think the laughter could be just this: The infant making a noise which it likes/which causes a positive response from its caregivers, and the infant then repeating that noise.
Personally, I don't think the laughter is caused by a God playing with the baby, and instead would opt for the explanation I've just given.
:D

Don't you ever laugh about something to yourself when you're on your own? Maybe babies too have thoughts that make them laugh... ;)

coldsuns: Human beings laugh when they are happy. Babies laugh because they are human beings and they are happy to be alive! A cool breeze, a pretty sound, a remembrance of the sucking of their mother's breast - that's enough to make any baby joyful!
Of course, for those (like myself) who believe in fairies, angels and such, there is also a possibility that they are interacting with them and having a giggle! So yes, in a way I agree with you. It is God playing with them, because God made the fairies and the angels too!

I was lying in bed with my 6 week old son watching him sleep. He was utterly peaceful, and suddenly, for the very first time he smiled and let out a Hehehehehe. Just a soft little chuckle that shook his belly and then he was back to his dreams. I wondered what he was laughing at, but I have zero doubt in my mind that it was indeed a laugh! And a memory I will cherish for the rest of my life.

re:Bella
Thats so sweet! I guess you must be a great mother and hope that your son will grow healthy and happy. And..it is always so hard to know whats a baby is thinking. But they must be for sure pure and innocent with cute smile.
