I like Kiama's game so much, but I almost never get to play since I never catch it at the right time, with a clue given but still unanswered. So I am starting another round, with the intention that we will all use clues from some of our favorite literature. This would also be a great game to play in Glastonbury '04! ;)
Here's the first clue:
I almost forgot to credit my favorite writer!
Atlas Shrugged, by (the prodigal) Ayn Rand

Right off the bat, JMD guessed it!
The eight of pentacles [ a worker, craftsperson, labor union] (Tarot Spells, Janina Renee) - they give the meaning to money, they create value by producing.
The eights come as a remedy for the error of the sevens. (D' Anconia correcting the previous speaker's mistake in his way of thinking) The mischeif has been done, and now there is a reaction against it. (society, in the novel, corrupt and full of people who think they deserve to have money they haven't earned)The eight of disks is called Prudence (The book of thoth, Aliester Crowley)(my own thoughts)
JMD, your turn! ;)
