I have one. It'll probably be a quick and easy one, though. ;)
From Walden by Henry David Thoreau
I did not wish to live what was not life, living is so dear; nor did I wish to practise resignation, unless it was quite necessary. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, to live so sturdily and Spartan-like as to put to rout all that was not life, to cut a broad swath and shave close, to drive life into a corner, and to reduce it to its lowest terms, and, if it proved to be mean, why then to get the whole and genuine meanness of it, to publish its meanness to the world; or if it were sublime, to know it by experience, and be able to give a true account of it in my next excursion.
I think there's a couple of cards that come through very clearly in this paragraph...two very different cards. I think I know what direction you'll go in first, and let me tell you, that card -- that one you're thinking of and are about to guess -- that's the second card I thought of! :D Let's see what you guys think!
Peace,
Melvis

Melvis,
The first card that comes to my mind is the Hermit.

Hi, raeanne!
That's the second card that came to my mind when read this passage! ;)
The first card that came to my mind was because of the way he was saying what he was saying, not really because of the content of his message. That's why I thought this text was so interesting, because I got such a conflicting picture of tarot cards in my head.
Do you want to guess what the other card was?
Peace,
Melvis

Sorry!
Belladonna got it...it's the Chariot that I first thought of. Thoreau's prose in this paragraph is so strong and driven, yet the theme is one of solitude, which people often think of as peaceful and laid-back. I thought the contrast between the two was interesting.
Anyway...Belladonna's turn!
Peace,
Melvis
