Search me, O God; test me
in the depths of my utmost heart.
Root out all selfishness from me
and lead me to eternal life.

No-one is right so far which surprises me. I though it would go off right away, being so obvious!

Oh dear.....it breaks my heart to see you all struggle so.
There are layers of meaning. Some are literal and some metaphorical.

Galidrial said the Devil already, I am going to say the Devil Reversed. I realise there are probably no reversals in this game, and it is most likely wrong here, but that is what I honestly see in the clue. There. ;) JOAN

The tension rises and I don't want to go to bed and leave you all hanging.
The answer is 3 Swords.
....................................test me
To the depths of my inmost heart,
Root out all selfishness from me.....
3 Swords sorrow is metaphorical enough, but look at those daggers rooting out the selfishness................?
I give the next turn to Silverlotus for trying the most, and am now off to sleep.

Sorry, didn't mean to confuse things at the end there. I was just wrong and late.

Just offering my two cents' worth here...I've played a few rounds and it just seems to me that some descriptions fit certain cards (which were not guessed by me, lol) better than their actual answers? Some words/phrases contained in some of the rhymes or descriptions also seem to point clearly towards one card where the questioner means something else; this is probably due to the fact that we all interpret words and metaphors differently.
No offense meant!

None taken, she says, plunging three daggers into her heart!
It is only a game, she gasped, as her spirit passed......
